Wow Jesse! Those are like buffet to me eating all at one go😂. Hope you enjoy the food. As for the Ikan Parang you mentioned, it’s Keropok Lekor (my favourite). Best to eat it with sweet chili sauce (so you won’t taste the fishy smell) and while it is hot, but I usually eat it after it has cool down, which will be dry and kinda harder to chew. I used to eat 8 pieces at one go for tea time 😋

Jesse, your Bahasa Melayu is getting better and better. I believe you'll be fluent in it by the end of this year, your languange skills are amazing 🤯👌🏻👌🏻 Ikan parang is a type of fish, it got a lottttt of *y* shape bones in its flesh, and got a very sweet taste. Keropok lekor is originally came from Terengganu state and some ppl here used ikan parang for their keropok but as far as i know (im from Terengganu btw) it is used for the keropok crackers and not the roll one (like you had it) Fun fact about keropok lekor, it is actually like a very long sausage, and made from fish and flour, then rolled into sausage shape and boiled. You can either eat it just like that or you can have it fried too by cutting it into smaller parts (like the one you ate) Keropok lekor is best eaten while its still hot and you gotta dip them into the sweet chilli sauce, i swear the taste will be tastier 😂 Nothing beats the real experience of eating *fresh keropok lekor* in Terengganu though, because this state here are well known for fish delicacies and a home for keropok lekor indeed, hehe 😋🤭

I was there yesterday too to buy this superbly fresh soy milk drink. You should try. A lady sell it at a very tidy and organized stall. Her stall is near to the kebab stall/ice cream goreng you bought ( 2 stalls before the kebab). She only sell soy milk and soy jelly (taufu fa). No other drinks. Her soy milk is so delicious and fresh. The best to me so far. You can buy the hot/cold soy milk, to request with either white sugar or brown sugar syrup. I usually go for white sugar, less sweet, as normally sellers would pour the sugar syrup heavenly to fulfil Malaysians taste. Less sweet would let you enjoy the freshness of the soy milk more. You can also try the taufu fa (soy milk jelly).
