Hi Both We are on the verge of becoming motorhomers. Part time initially with a view to doing it full time when we retire. You are both an inspiration and playing a big part into convincing us to think bugger it and let's sell up and do it now but we are trying to be sensible. A question I have is did you have any experience of you tube before starting out on your journeys. And how did you learn to do it. I do hope you become gazillionaires soon.

Hi Ian, what a flattering comment!! Thanks 🤩 Our advice would be to “go for it” we are loving it after retiring early and being very “financially careful”, we are spending it now rather than later 😂😂😂 our kids will be chuffed, not 😂😂 We new nothing of KZread before we got the van, other than watching lots of motorhome vlogs. We are both reasonably “tech savvy” so found the digital side of things straight forward. Being in front of the camera is different and not easy to get used to, we are still very self conscious and developing. You can do some basic stuff with just a phone (most of our Les is with an iPhone) and laptop without fancy cameras (although I do have a fancy DSLR) Just go for it and ask people for help if needed! We stayed at studfold campsite to the west of Gouthwaite Resevoir and cycled on our folding push bikes all the distance past the reservoir to the Sportsman pub beyond it, stopping at all the viewpoints, lovely and peaceful. Gouthwaite resevoir is a haven for bird life.

Cracking job there Jane. Nice to see gods country in its full splendour. Although the wife broke out into a cold sweet when you went down them caves. Had flashbacks of the Thai kids😮. Also not wanting to offend Andrew, but I will say it anyways, we think he looks a bit and acts a bit like Karl Pilkington. Except he is probably a gazzilionaire!! Lol.

Hawes Mart used to be a fiver, then in a very short period of time, a tenner, now £15.00. Just isn't worth it.

@@davidcowley1823 I think a lot of this type of place are taking their lead from sites. The big sites have moved to £30 to £40 pn, so CL/CS go to £25 and Aires to £15 plus and so on. There’s still some bargains about but getting fewer.

Ah yes, £35 plus £40k of van, £600 insurance, £360 of tax, £80 breakdown, £100 of fuel. Great value.

Personally I don't see it as click bait they went away on a mini adventure using cheap park ups, the title is not saying buying running a motorhome is cheap, just that they had four cheap nights out.

@@stephenhayward6445 thanks for your support Stephen. We thought the title was an accurate reflection of the content, supported by the words confirming that it was in a motorhome. We try really hard not to click bait as we ourselves get frustrated with, “is this the end of van life”, “we were shocked” “our van broke” etc etc. Probably why our channel has grown, and is growing, very slowly. Also worth remembering that we are certainly not in this for the money, at about £4 per thousand views, for maybe 20 hours work 😂
