Prepare for next Shabbat's Torah parashah by listening and learning to our new illustrasted d'var Torah study on Parashah Bamidbar from Numbers 1:1-4:20 meaning "in the wilderness of" [Sinai], telling of the census and the priests' duties.
The word “B’midbar” which is spelled (בְּמִדְבַּר ‎) also can be seen to hint at the Word as the root is dabar, the same root word we get d’var from referring to God’s word and the wilderness is the place where that is always revealed… the prefix beit and mem simply mean “in” and “from” thus there is something for us to learn “in” the word and “from” the word… although there is no new mitzvot in this opening parashah of the book bringing our focus to the Word in the Wilderness.
Interestingly, we always read parsha Bamidbar just before Shavu'ot when we experience the giving of the Torah word once again- for spiritually, the Torah is given anew every Shavu’ot - and it is necessary to recall and take to heart the fact that the Torah word of the LORD was not given in a civilized environment, but in a desert wilderness… And the lesson here is twofold:
Firstly, a desert wilderness is a place of utter desolation where “no man can live” (as Jeremiah 2:6 says). thus, the Torah was given there to indicate that it should be embrace without any preconceptions or ulterior motives. When a person lives in a civilized place and he encounters a new idea or suggestion, he usually first evaluates it to determine whether it is acceptable according to social norms. But with Torah however, this would be a mistake as the correct approach to accepting Torah is “we will do, and (later) we will understand (as Israel said in Exodus 24:7). therefore, the Torah was given in a desert wilderness, where nobody lives, to indicate that one needs to be truly empty of self and materialism and “open minded” - not influenced by one's environment to truly appreciate its spiritual values!
Secondly, the Torah was given in a desert wilderness to teach that sharing the Torah with those who currently find themselves in a spiritual desert is fundamental to Torah Judaism. It is not the case that the Torah can also reach those who are found in a spiritual wasteland; On the contrary, this is a central theme of the giving of the Torah: to transform every spiritual desert into a “civilized environment.”
Each year we study and understand Torah on a deeper level and we hope this deeper teaching blesses you with deeper insights and spiritual growth for today!

So far, I haven’t missed one since Genesis 1 started. Praise Abba for sustaining me. I’ve been blessed beyond words. My understanding and knowledge of Torah and new covenant has increased greatly. Every week is a new adventure into Elohim Word. I understand More and more who we are, or purpose. I love Yeshua more and know Him more intimately. It’s been a sobering process. I use to be so arrogant that I was going to Heaven but now I’m humbled and very careful and on guard to maintain my crown. Let no man take your crown. I struggle but I lifted up again by my Heavenly Father most merciful! Thank you for your obedience to do these teachings!! Truly a blessing and joy!! ❤️🙏🏼🙌👏

Dear Rabbi Isaac, in 2018 I lived in a apartment complex were I met a neighbor who is a Professor at Princeton. We had a discussion about Scripture and one thing struck me as stupid at the time, he said as I recall " something in the white spaces". I just laughed because I thought it was crazy however you mentioned something in the white spaces between the letters and I instantly remembered what he had said. Thanks Rabbi. Be Blessed Shalom.

Look for the matching middot between the "house of Israel" (Ephraim) & religious organizations today to get a match. They separated from Jerusalem - They changed the festive dates - They mixed pagan rituals into their worship - They rejected the books that the "House of Judah" accepted - They outnumbered the "House of Judah" by a massive number. (10-tribes vs 3-tribes) - They assummed their connection to the God of Avraham, Yitzchak & Ya'akov was the correct way Thus is there a religion today that outnumbers Jews by a massive number, upholds different days as holy, mixes pagan rituals into their worship & has separated themselves from Jerusalem...? Yet claim a connection to the God of Avraham Yitzchak & Ya'akov stating many a time in their congregations that they are the new-Israel

it is said that the blue represents the mystery of God, if we look at the sea\water we see blue but when we take it in our hands it becomes clear as so if we look at the sky it's blue but to look closely the air is invisible or clear, I don't remember the Rabbi's name but it was discussing the blue and white prayer shawls and of course the flag of Israel....Shalom
