thank you allowing us to go with you on these educational journeys.
My hometown! I miss it! I’ve been gone a long time, but there’s no place like home! House of Flavors! They make and serve the absolute best ice cream on planet earth!
I love Ludington Lived here my whole life I am like a tourist in my own town Enjoying everything my town has to offer
I wish you two would have more fun........ Just kidding, thank you for the history and the adventure in Ludington! Great Video!
Great video! My father helped build the shrine and his name is engraved on a plaque. While he was working I pulled weeds, I was five years old. My brother Bill was a civil engineer on the Project. I rangered at the State Park in '65. I remember grooming the lighthouse road with a little Caterpillar tractor. It will always be the Park Dairy to me!

Very cool!
When my wife and I took February 2004 off to drive to Alaska and back, our last stop was Ludington on the lake. Looks like that was a fun day.
Thank you for the great videos about Michigan. I was born in Charlotte, MI. When I was 4-5 we went on the Milwaukee Clipper from Ludington to Milwaukee. I would love a video from you about the Milwaukee Clipper.
A very good friend of mine owns the Blue Moon. Chef Munford
I lived in Michigan and been to Ludington numerous times, and I never knew about the salt business. Interesting video
Another great video. You guys are great. The way Poppins looks at you at 16:25 says a lot. Keep them coming
Awesome shot from the back of the truck! Poppins for President 2024!
Thanks for the videos, I've lived in Michigan for 50 years. Thanks to you I have allot more I want to see!
I know every spot you speak of here. I might be moving to Ludington as it’s such a beautiful place. Sadly so much of the bluffs have fallen into the lake.
Note for you guys: Love the channel, and have watched every episode! Also, at 0:22, the view of the Spartan, notice the tugboat moored alongside Spartan. This is the USAV MG Winfield Scott. She is a Large Tug, and is one of the Army's many vessels, though now retired and purchased my IMS. I think she would make a fascinating episode, along with her sister ships LT 801 to 806. The fact she is relatively close to you makes this a little easier. I also posted on the most recent episode so you might see it sooner. You tube has video of her passage from Lake Ontario through the Wellan Canal to Lake Erie, most likely on her way to Ludington. Very few people know the Army has more ships than the Navy and more planes than the Air Force. I had vain plans to purchase this vessel and convert her into a world class yacht, but alas, I am not made of money. How I wish. These vessels have served the United States all over the world, and I have pictures of them in Yokahama, Japan, and Kuwait, not to mention all over the US east and west coast. You might even see if Interlake Maritime might facilitate an episode and let you onboard to film. Never know! Here is a link that has pages for each of these amazing vessels. www.navsource.org/archives/30/15/15idx.htm

You guys make wonderful videos, I’m native and I didn’t know half of the history that your videos explore. Thank you.

Back in the 1950's we spent family vacations camping behind the dunes. Perch runs and fishing off the breakwater. We we're from Royal Oak. Thanks for your adventures.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane for me. My Family were some of the original settlers of western Michigan. My Grandfather was the road commissioner in Mason county, Ludington, back when they graded the roads with a horse drawn sledge. They added cars to the ferries and the Badger became part of the U.S. 10 Highway taking the cars from Ludington to Manitowoc, WI. I remember when they pulled up the tracks to the ferry's. It was a sad end of an era. The pump station was a massive project as there was not some natural lake there to start with. It took years to dig out and they wore out many of those giant earth movers doing it.
Awesome! Thank you for the history lesson!
You have done your research! Bravo! It is a good video and an informative one -- lots I didn't know about L. although I live only 2 hours away from there... Thank YOU both! ....

I work on the badger it is truly amazing
A point of interest is that the Spartan car ferry is now a floating junk yard of spare parts for the Badger car ferry. They are identical in construction.
Thanks for all your research, have friends in Ludington went last summer (hope to go this) took badger to WI (awesome highly recommend) new years looked fantastic would've liked to be there for that (you two make me wanna get married)🥰👌keep up the good work/ videos
I need to know where wife got her hat and coat. I love them
Beautiful area. Been there once About 15 years ago. Thanks for the great video Makes me want to come back.
When I was growing up I spent the summers on Hamlin Lake. I learned a few things that I didn't know, like the sea supent. But you missed the fact that the Badger is also US-31. I believe it's the only US highway on a ship.

It's actually US-10, but yes it is an official highway.
Ludington! Who knew? Was just the ferry terminus to us. Now we might have to go back....
reminds me of the bluffs at Ontario near Oswego. Also had salt brine mining around NY finger lakes region.
I used to have a dog that would of fit into that game at the library

My mother went to the original Meijers as a youth and Fred's wife used to feed her hot dogs while her grandmother used the meat locker. Fredrick himself was at my great grandmothers funeral.
So, when are you going to post a video of you swimming in a canal with a gator in Nola???? Cheers, mate!
