From what I heard they are going to hit all these cheaters at once in a ban wave. Thankfully I've yet to run into a cheater but I said this would happen. Easy Anti-Cheat was compromised on three other games before it came to halo. That's not 343's fault but they should have postponed Easy Anti-Cheat until the contractor fixed the issue. Arbiter didn't have any issues it just seemed like a nonsensical decision.

The thing people don't understand about anti cheat is it has to be continuously updated by the devs as cheats evolve. Mcc with easy was great until 343 stopped supporting Mcc which meant they stopped updating the anti cheat as well. Infinite is their main game and will be supported until the next game so the anti cheat will be updated don't worry.

Every time I play Helldivers, I think about how it could’ve been an ODST game fighting flood outbreaks… 🤦🏻‍♂️ The Halo community has been asking for spin offs and deviations from the main games for years and years. Creatively bankrupt devs need to stop and F off.

I don't know much about this but I feel this is less of a 343 problem and is more of an issue for the creators of Easy Anti-Cheat.

Y’all do know that the ONLY reason 343 switched from Arbiter to EAC is so they could cut costs and save money, right….? One would THINK that the only reason they would switch their anti cheat software randomly like that is because EAC is a superior system, etc. As we can all tell by now, this was 100% NOT the case. They did it because they are barely working on infinite anymore except to gouge players in the shop, and said to themselves “Hey, how can we make even more money, let’s stop spending money on maintaining our already functioning and satisfactory in house anti cheat system (arbiter), and switch over to the biggest joke of an anti cheat system in the industry (EAC), because it’s way cheaper and we can make even more money. Fuck the players and their experience, we know that EAC is known by everyone to be a complete joke, but we don’t care because it’s all about money.” Fuck 343. They should be BEYOND ashamed. This was the last straw. I uninstalled 3 days ago. Not playing again until they remove EAC and go back to Arbiter. 343 is a total joke. It seems “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” is a quote that NONE of the fruitcakes that work there with pronouns and flags in their Twitter bios have EVER heard of. This is a BIG deal guys. I encourage everyone else to uninstall as well until they fix this. They must see that we won’t put up with their greed and incompetence. 343- 3 steps forward, 43 steps back.

Played a game of BTB yesterday, and a guy on my team was flying around in a warthog, splattering people left and right. The game lasted less than 6 minutes, and he ended up with 61 kills. It was depressing to see, even if we won as a result.

It's not 343s fault it's the people who made the anti-cheat. 343 hire an anti-cheat company to make them an anti-cheat, then they simply implement it into the game.

I’m glad that Unyshek is at least aware of this, but yeah something needs to be done fast. With this going on, as well as the MTX issue, unfortunately this game is in a bit of a rough spot yet again. I still like this game but changes absolutely need to be made.

MTX ain't changing bro. We can whine but they've stated they need the money and people buy these bundles too so they won't decrease the price. They admitted this with the MKV armor bundle. It sucks yes but welcome to a business that is scrapping by thanks to the fans

All of this reminds me of 2 different matches on the maps one on Boneyard and one on Spire in og Reach. The opposing team on both maps had a player named Bradd Pitt, in BTB, on Spire, his team decimated my team so badly that everyone on my team just quit the match, I left that match aswell only to be placed in the same match again & to quit a second time. The second match with this guy and his team was on Boneyard, that match lagged so hard that when I died, I couldn't respond and I was only able to move my camera and look around at my lower half. I don't exactly remember if it was slightly after the guys team turned completely invisible, as if my team were the only team on an empty Boneyard map.

In my opinion using EAC creates the problem that Arbiter doesn’t have: EAC makes it so there’s already work done to make cheats work while in the case of Arbiter, they have to work on different code therefore more work is required.

EAC has never been either good at its actual job or safe for your computer.

Apparently! They need to bring back the Arbiter system. I feel that way better. The problem with going with these big name systems is that they are well known. Too known. I think we finally reached a point where it actually just needs to be a damn law. Because at the end of the day you are screwing with company products. This, though is one way to kill the modding community too unfortunately. So then you wouldn't have things like SPV3, or any of the other big Halo mods, like Halo 3 Combat evolved etc.

I bet the old anti cheat was having negative effects on the networking so they switched even though they knew it wouldn't be as effective. They probably didn't think it would get this bad though

I was watching ispitefuls stream when it happened. These guys were watching the stream and targeting him. Even that m4 guy was aimbotting and flying

Here I am settled with Firefight for the XP gains...now the mode is a refuge from this mess!

Mint blitz had a video recently showing someone captured on day one with the new anti cheat running cheat and impersonating Lucid. That's not a good look, for it to be that quickly and easily beaten to run the cheats and attach the consequences to one of the most famous pros.

I'm so glad that I'm paying with my computer resources, experiencing lower FPS and memory leaks, because it surely keeps the cheaters away.

Broooo, @1:56 literally played with M4 on my team in a husky match. He was flying around and capped all 3 flags in like 30 sec. Ruined the match. Reported them.

The problem is with the impersonating gamer tags exploit, that report very likely went against some innocent player whose name got jacked by a cheater.

I’m glad you brought this up because I can’t even play an open custom game without it crashing randomly half way through due to a “connection issue”. This drastically discouraged me from even playing socially on custom games. They need to fix this like NOW.

Cheating is rampant in majority PVP games nowadays. Sad state of gaming we are in forsure, definitely not just halo. Personally, I’ve put the multiplayer PVP games down for a bit, mainly been playing PvE or single players. 😢

Lol it really sucks that no matter what 343i does there's always a catch. So, here's to Halo 7, another chance to see how 343 will drop the ball this time.

It's been clear for years the Anti cheat software and systems has been lacking for years and developers across the board( and i do mean across the board) have show little interests in deal with this. Unless one developer kick the door down with a functional anit cheat then nothing will ever be done.

I've only been playing Firefight for the past 4 months and I haven't encountered a cheater, probably because they're staying in PvP playlists but regardless 343 need to address this issue ASAP.

What? I thought it just appeared like I was dying with full shields because the new netcode was just not accurately updating the HUD or something. To think that's actually a cheat, that's wild. It's not super-frequent but more common than I'd like.

I played for almost 16 hours this weekend and didn’t experience this once so hopefully it’s a small crowd doing this that we can get rid of. I’m sorry for anyone who’s experienced this though 🙁

Really hope fixing this issue doesn’t somehow undo the recent networking fix

Yes I played 1 ranked game litteraly ONE and someone flew across the map and headshot my whole team effortlessly sad because now I’m stuck playing firefight only 😢

I haven’t seen any cheaters yet, but I also haven’t been playing the game much recently. I honestly never thought I’d stop playing halo, but recently with the massive new content drought and the difficulty to find games as an Aussie. It’s had to enjoy the game. You either wait 10 minutes for a match or play husky raid or gruntpocalypse. Playing anything else requires a lot of patience that I don’t have when I get to play for so long each day. I hate to say it, but I’ve become one of those players that return for the new content and leave again once I’ve played it enough.

I went from high diamond/ onyx to plat 3 in ranked. Almost every other game I experience cheaters

It’s crazy that my clip went viral, it’s sad I found another hacker last night unfortunately nothing is being done apparently

I have a clip from about 3 or 4 years ago of a dude flying around in MCC exactly like this. This has been a problem for a long time. A quick temporary solution for console players would be to give us the option to turn off cross play in Infinite. Don’t understand why that’s not an option as it is.

This might be my fault boys I said Halo was safe from Modders on a pretty popular vid and I think they toke that personal, oddly though haven’t meet any yet but if do they are getting reported.

Tactical, my personal favorite, is completely unplayable. I matched and to open a guy got a killionaire where he he could zoom to different spawns and get you instantly. 343 please fix this!

Spending the credits works. Getting them to show up properly after you buy them is a pain. I dumped some Bing points into credits a few weeks ago and my balance wouldn't update until I logged my MS account out on every goddamn device I own and then logged back in.

Yeah, the second I heard it was going to be the same anti-cheat from MCC I knew we were screwed. Multiplayer is busted as heck in there, and it was only going to get worse, because everyone already knows how to beat it. How did nobody see this coming?

As someone that has played over 500 hours in Halo Infinite, It's just hard to enjoy it now. Especially with all the stuff that just constantly seems to be going wrong and the constant slaps in the face from 343 (whether it be from the discontinuation of seasons, the lack of story content, horrendous store prices, and this current anti-cheat situation). I played so much of this game, but I'm just reaching a point where I'm just tired.

I'm thankful I've yet to run into any cheaters. Such a shame that it's a growing issue.

Is the switch to Easy Anti Cheat related to the new networking model? Is it possible to revert one w/o the other?

Ran into one in rank abusing some sort of lag switch. If you shot the guy he just would teleport :/

The servers of the custom games are also very unstable

Game died 18months ago for me when there were no Aussie servers and they removed the ability to region lock servers, they killed my favorite multiplayer game

This is why games need to be server authoritative. If the client has control over everything about their player (ie: movement speed, position, fire rate, etc) then it's just easier for them to cheat.

Multi-player is even more screwed up lol, If only fire fight wasn't so boring and actually had a variety of enemies and vehicles for the banished instead of bunch of banished soldiers going to ONE SPOT. Like after playing Helldivers and experiencing dropships deploying tanks and troops and larger than life enemies. Halo Infinite's fire fight is just so dull and the amazing feeling of having a shotgun that has more than 20 shells. I feel more like a spartan in Helldivers than Infinite. I love being the anti-vehicle guy on my team like the EOD spartan I was in Reach. Don't worry guys we can count on 343 to- fill the cashshop...

I have seen players shooting through walls, I have actually been victim to the 'whole clip in one shot cheat', and I really want this to change! I can hardly get any kills these days, all thanks to sheaters.

Genuinely not surprised, nearly every EAC "protected" game ive played has a cheating problem

Is the issue from the anti-cheat or is it an issue with the networking model. The networking model is from the older games, which are a lot easier to manipulate. So, I am curious if it is happening now because of the networking or is it happening because of EAC

It's sad to see that cheaters increased and I think i'm one of those luckiest players that had not encountered a cheater since easyanticheat was implemented. The funniest part of it, is that I only faced 1 cheater using wallhack/aimbot but at the beggining of 2023 and I'm preatty sure it was using crons zen.

As soon as I herd that easy anti cheat was being added I wasn't surprised that this would happen ironically just before this happened the apex legend tournament situation happened so it isn't exactly a surprise to see a extreme rise in cheaters when easy anti cheat gets added

I knew this was gonna make it worse. Not only that but, apex legends just had a massive issue with hackers hacking streamers and installing mods on the fly through a loophole on anti cheat. Anti cheat has always just been so useless.

Firefight is the only game mode worth playing because how hard is it to have some fun killing aliens. I’d rather that over cheaters. 343 has royally fucked up

A little while back I had a match that was so rife with aimbot cheaters that you couldn't even step from spawn point, It was at that point I personally said 343's version if halo is not worth my time. The franchise clearly was ended the moment bungie left, halo 4 was so bad it caused me to never preorder another videogame, the trust has absolutely been shattered by 'aaa' gaming. Helldivers II has been a breath of air in a drowning industry tho.

Not much different than old halo 2 modders. But I haven't finding these type of cheaters, but I've played in a lot of games lately where the connection goes to shit if I'm winning and then we lose horriblly. Today I came across someone who never missed a shot and used an AR to basically snipe me across the map which had me suspicious but idk

Played 2 btb heavies with a guy flying around and one shoting everyone. It was clearly his burner account so reporting him really didn’t do any good.

idk if it's a cheat or the guy is just lagging but there's some people that quickly phase around where they are standing making them harder to shoot. i only seen this after this update so maybe it's the new network???

if that makes it possible to deactivate mandatory crossplay in the long term then I'm happy with the situation the cheaters were already present before with less powerful cheats obviously but already frustrating enough I hope that 343 will make crossplay not mandatory but it's a problem that comes from xbox and ms on lots of games. Plus it would allow them to sell a lot more Xbox to make crossplay non-mandatory on all their games.

Only cheaters I’ve ever encountered was someone with wall hacks before the game had anti cheat now after the anti cheat update all I’ve seen was someone with a speed boost hack so I’ve only ever come across 2 hackers and I have almost 9000 matches played

I have actually met this cheater once in a snipers match, i assume he's a cheater cause i saw it on theaters mode where every time i pop up from a corner, his sniper crosshair gets locked on my head faster than fucking light 😤 🔫

Unfortunately it isn't just halo. What will these hackers do if EVERY PVP server for every game were shut down indefinitely? They would complain but it would be their fault.

Luckily, I haven't faced any yet, but this sucks because cheating is one of those issues where it's not really a dev made issue. It's just someone who wanted to go out of their way to ruin everyone else's experience.

This isn't a 343i issue. When it was announced Easy Anticheat was coming to infinite, people online said to be careful because EAC had been "hacked" by cheaters and could cause harm to the game and iirc something with either the RCE or your account getting hacked. So people warned Halo players to stay off Halo for the time being. As for why they chose this company? Idk, probably it's cheaper compared to others

Please give me the ability as a counsel guy to have an option to only play other counsel players. It's not just the cheaters its the fact that anytime I play someone on PC it feels like they get network preference in the match. I want the overall player base to be larger but at the same time if they can't responsibly manage PC cheaters I want the option to not play with them.

This is sad. Y'know I don't play like fiesta, battles or such, I play firefight cause I don't like dealing with cheaters. But this truly is sad.

Played Tactical Slayer yesterday with someone by the name of "Kakashii". Had 5k to 7k ms latency spikes. Have seen reddit post of people showing the same thing happening to them when playing with this person. This person is cheating/using a lag switch.

Dude i cant even find games in matchmaking. This is sad that all these cheaters enjoy just kicking a game thats already down.. this sucks.

But the leader ship changed and they will have actual devs working on thae gam. HAVE HOPE

343 new what would happen by adding this. I have zero sympathy for this company.
