An easier method for dividing the line into 7 equal segments: At the top of the line you want to divide, draw a line perpendicular to the first line. Then, put the base of the ruler on the bottom end of the first line, and play around so as to get the 7 unit mark of the ruler on the perpendicular line. Now you can trace the dividing cuts by drawing 6 parallel lines to the perpendicular line at the ruler's units. And by the way I wanted to thank you for putting such high value educational content here on youtube for free. You are a great teacher❤

Greetings sir! I have a question, the measurment should be same for the first line we draw? and the we draw for to find 7 equidistant points in the second line? like the first line is let say is 7 inch, but on the second i treat 2 inch as a one inch?

The two lines just need to be divided into the same number of spaces.
