The setting - on an island in the middle of two roads - may be slightly unusual but that’s all part of the experience and, once seated, you’ll enjoy being ensconced in your own little bubble watching the world go by.
Tom Sellers’ menus take on a tasting format and the visually impressive dishes are crafted with care and precision; ingredients are at the luxurious end of the scale and modern techniques bring out the best in every item. Imaginative, playful touches come through in dishes such as the bread and dripping, where your candle melts to provide the dip; the ‘Storeo’ - a savoury version of an Oreo; and the ‘Paddington Bear’ pre-dessert of pain perdu and citrus marmalade.
The menu is tailored so that returning guests receive a different experience from first-timers, so be sure to ask if there’s something you loved on your last visit and want to have again.
Tom Sellers tells his story and the story of British food through an ever-evolving tasting menu of seasonal dishes. The restaurant gained its first Michelin star after five months of opening in 2013 and its second Michelin star in 2021.

    Really nice looking Tasting menu worthy of its 2 star status. As for the £50 Truffle supplement, absolutely ridiculous daylight robbery.

    Unfortunately due to high demand and low supply this kind of price is the only way to serve white truffle

    I love this place. My favourite london restaurant If they know you’re a repeat customer they make a huge effort to tweak the courses to keep it exciting

    I came on here to see examples of multiple course dinners; the types of entrees and the way that they are served. But ALL I CAN FIND is this weird "seeking attention" stuff. I'm sure this is excellent and great food; I am not disputing that at all - but can I find something for a normal dinner party? It seems that people are so bored with food now that they have to be tricked into eating something that looks like something different. Idk an example of a well thought out soup, salad, appetizer, main course, dessert thing would be so refreshing at this point.

    @@GourmetBGourmet Thanks for the reply. Do you use a small tripod? as you usually use both hands to hold the fork and knife. By the way , I like your videos a lot. It involves a lot of hard work to make the video while fine dining.

    we still not considering hide background noisy, or cover by music, we want show real experience as norm customer but control volume for you to watch... you can see and compare of course u may can feel different with sitting there actual sound and through video we guess ...
