334; 335, Mil Mi-24P - Operations in LHBS
On 18th of November 2019, two brand new H145M helicopters arrived for the Hungarian Air Force. Superior persons from the Air Force came from Szolnok AB to Budaörs Airfield by the Mi-24s to welcome the new helicopters and to show them to the press. After the "ceremony" they flew back to their homebase with the new helicopters - fortunately almost in dark. :)
After almost 6 years of inactivity 8 overhauled Mi-24 helicopters are back in the game and operating again in the Hungarian Air Force! What a great thing! These helicopters (s/n: 340334, 340335) were previously registrated as 96+44 and 96+45, they arrived here in 1995 from the German Democratic Republic with 18 other Mi-24s (14 Mi-24D & 6 Mi-24p). Most of them were stored in bad conditions in Szentkirályszabadja. In 2003 2 helicopters were overhauled in the Danubian Aircraft Company and they become 335 and 336. They flew until 2012 when the CofA of the last airworty 24 was expired. Now, all of the 8 helicopters got the NATO gray paint scheme, and also a modernised cockpit. They can fly until 2025.
The Mil Mi-24 (NATO code: Hind) is a heavy gunship-attack helicopter and low-capacity troop transport with room for eight passengers. It is produced by Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant and has been operated since 1972 by the Soviet Air Force and its successors, along with 48 other nations. The Mi-24 fuselage is heavily armored and can resist impacts from 12.7 mm (0.50 in) rounds from all angles. The titanium rotor blades are also resistant to 12.7 mm rounds. The cockpit is protected by ballistic-resistant windscreens and a titanium-armored tub, the crew compartment are overpressurized to protect the crew in NBC conditions. A modified Mi-24B was used in several speed and time-to-climb world record attempts. The official speed record set on 13 August 1975 over a closed 1000 km course of 332.65 km/h (206.7 mph) still stands. On 21 September 1978 this type set the absolute speed record for helicopters with 368.4 km/h (228.9 mph) over a 15/25 km course. The record stood until 1986, when it was broken by the current official record holder, a modified Westland Lynx.

2019 november 18.-án két vadiúj H145M helikopter érkezett a Magyar Légierő kötelékébe, fogadásukra elöljáró személyek érkeztek Szolnokról a Mi-24-es gépekkel. A sajtóbemutató után az új helikopterekkel együtt visszarepültek a bázisra - szerencsére majdnem sötétben! :)
Közel 6 év tétlenség után 8 nagyjavított Mi-24-es helikopter visszatért és újra üzemel a Magyar Légierő kötelékében! Nagyszerű dolog! A 340334-es és a 340335-ös gyártási számú helikopterek a 96+44-es és a 96+45-ös oldalszámot viselték a Német Demokratikus Köztársaság légierejében ahonnan 1995-ben érkeztek, 18 másik társukkal együtt (14 darab Mi-24D és 6 darab Mi-24P). Többségüket Szentkirályszabadján tárolták rossz körülmények között, majd 2003-ban két Mi-24P helikopter nagyjavításon esett át a Dunai Repülgépgyárban, amik a 335 és 336-os oldalszámot kapták. Egészen 2012-ig repültek, amikor is az utolsó aktív Mi-24-es légialkalmassági bizonyítványa is lejárt.
A most nagyjavított gépek mindegyike "NATO szürke" színt kapott, valamint modernizált, a feladatok elvégzését segítő rendszereket is. Az így talpra állított gépek 2025-ig repülhetnek.

Hermetikusan zárható, ezzel a személyzetet nukleáris, kémiai és biológiai támadások esetén is védve van. Egy módosított Mi-24B helikopter több sebesség- és emelkedési sebesség világrekord-kísérletben használatos volt. A hivatalos sebességrekord 1975 augusztus 13.-án került felállításra egy 1000 km-es pályán, melynek során az elért sebesség 332,65 km/óra volt, ami a mai napig rekord. Ezzel a típussal állították fel a helikopterek abszolút sebességrekordját 368,4 km/órával egy 15/25 km-es pályán, 1978 szeptember 21.-én. Ezt 1986-ban egy módosított Westland Lynx helikopter döntötte meg.

@@thegeneral3094 good day. First question, I hear that Crocodile are the best choppers in their class in the world, so you are lucky man. How much punishment they can survive, I heard 12,7, 14,5, but and 20 or 23mm for cabin I believe. Is that possible and I love this chopper so tell as much as you can, I can't wait.
This MI - 24p is still a real masterpiece. powerful, efficient, real power-winning attack chopper.

Mil Mi 24 Super Hind is a beast
If I was in charge of building a military for a small country, the MI-24 would be the 1st aircraft I would pick. Good Gunship for ground attack. Good Transport for Troop insertion missions and Casualty evacuation.

A Mi-24-esek nagyjavítàsàban igazad van, de hogy mit írtàl szerb baràtunknak, azt még mindig nem értem... 40 micsoda?! Hazaàrulàs?! Ha tudnàd, hogy az mit jelent, nem írnàd le ilyen felelötlenül. Rengeteg informàció làtott napvilàgot az új H145-ösökröl, nem értem, hogy miért nem merültél el bennük ezidàig, ugyanis akkor talàn helyére kerülne benned is ezen helikopterek feladata, képessége.

Hungarians huh! So have those Hinds have been NATOfied. NATO EPLRS, NATO IFF, NATO ARC radios? Cannons changed to use NATO 25mm, 27mm, and 30mm ammunition , instead of Russian 23mm, or 30mm rounds.

Do not try to be funny. USA alone has 16 times bigger military budget than Russia. You should include military spendings in next 27 NATO countries and few other west allies. In such conditions Russia will lose war against NATO.

@fassenkugel Even 1% of these projects are enough to defeat Russia. If you think that Russia smaller than USSR and Warsaw Pact can won against much stronger NATO, you are crazy. NATO even do not need to use strong millitary forces. NATO can destroy Russia economically as did it with USSR. If you forget finish of Cold War, NATO can repeat this scenario again.

Russia has much smaler population, smaller economy and smaller military forces. If you say something about technology look at stealth jets, airplane carriers and tanks cases. Russian junk has not chace to wistand any air, navy and ground combats. They can only attack weaker nations and use nucklear weapons to fear all world. NATO countries can destroy Russia. Look what will happen with Russian economy when gas and oil prices drop down. Get ready.

@Ecchi Games Try something better. Meanwhile look at some videos where Turkish Forces were smashing Russian junk. Resently they shot down few Su24, destroyed Pantsyr, many tanks and BMP. Any S300, Buk and other Russian made junk did not stop them in Syria. So, keep dreaming that NATO can not do this against Russian Forces.
