Man I can smell those perch sizzling. I’m a day late somehow I missed it, sitting in Ann Arbor Michigan recovering from a hospital stay. Twenty days in hospital with abdominal surgery. Our ice season here in south Michigan was short to say the least, but north was ok I hear . LOVE YOUR VIDS👍

Hello from upstate NY, I absolutely love your beaver videos. We are not allowed to trap here within 15 feet of a hut or den. I'm hoping you you make some more set ups on runs and caster mounds away from the huts

That's funny I bet someone who loves yellow perch started that vicious rumor!!! And it stuck. My buddy thought all lake trout were fats nasty tasting white n mushy. But there are different types of lake trout all the same fish but different on the inside and a few traits show from looking closely.I used to get all the trout till he took one home because his dad wanted one. He tried it and hollered at me why I didn't tell him they were so good. I just said hey you know I said I liked them!!! Ok wasn't going to force you.😂😂😂

@@JonGollakner lake trouts good if cooked correctly and if you take the oil sack out before cooking its not as fishy tasting or smelling. Sometime it will stink house up for days if cooked wrong . But as far as yellow perch ive thrown hundreds away thinking they were trash fish like creek chub.

Lake Superior has 2 for sure siskiwit and Ottawa strains possiblity a 3rd. The one is fatty short nosed big eyes flesh is white. They are in deep water except for spawn. The other the lean or redfin are slimmer a non d the meat is orange like a brook trout.Night and day difference no matter how you clean them.dont know what you are referring to as far as an oil sac.Explain please I've cleaned hundreds of Lakers from Superior and many of our deep inland lakes. Always remove the mud vein dark red mushy meat along the lateral line on the skin side of the filet.very thin layer. Will taint flavor like having deer hair in your venison. Not good.More information in the oil sac please.
