Patience is key guys. This is for those who have been applying for a while and who might be disappointed with their progress: Comparing my progress at 6 months vs some of the examples in this video who were at 6 months or less, I thought my gains were not particularly good. But now after consistent application for almost 2 years, my beard is better than most of these. My advice is don't go into the journey with an expectation for how long you plan to use minoxidil. Keep applying until you're happy with what you have. It may take longer than you initially hoped, but being a slower responder to minox doesn't mean that you won't achieve the beard you want.

2 years to see results is kind of long. You could have naturally just grown more hair. If I compare my beard hair two years ago to now i would see a significant difference and i have never used minoxidil

@@bigshoots1181 Only side effects I got are dry skin (can be counteracted with moisturizer) and hair growth in other areas of my body. Really just the areas of my body where I already had hair, like my arms and legs, thickened up more. Chest and belly are still smooth (a few sporadic hairs here and there), so I didn't turn into sasquatch or anything.

I've ordered a little spray bottle to transfer some solution to, I'm going to see if I find that or the pipette easier.. I don't even want a beard really, I just want to even things up if I can so it looks less like Jack Sparrow with randomly placed clumps of pubes.

There is no "better" brand. Any 5% minox will do the job as long as ot doesn't explicitly state that it has DHT blockers in

I stopped using minoxidil 4 years ago because I read it will fall the time I stop using. Then, I did a hair transplant. It ruined my face with lots of holes. I can't make it grow because it doesn't fill the space and looks like little black spots. I end up shaving once and sometimes twice a day. It grow really fast. Now after seeing tens of videos of people recording their progress I started using it and I'm on my 8th week. There is a progress but little. I can only see new hair in the areas that didn't had the transplanted hair. My question is, Do the holes in my face prevent new hair from growing? I mean like when someone is wounded in a hairy part of his body. Hair will not grow back in that area? Is that my case?

This is great but for someone like me that has a decent beard but want a thicker beard more full, what are you recommendation for the jojoba and peppermint oil mix for hair growth with using a drug like minoxidil? Did peppermint work for you, any side effects?

+hassan Waleed hey man. Personally i saw no discernible change using the peo. Minox can help thicken up beards. Not everyone in the video started with nothing. Some of them had beards but wanted to thicken it. If i were you tho i would try peppermint and jojoba oil for a few months and see if it works for you. I was using minox at the same time so hard for me to know for sure. Maybe that will suit your needs better

Thanks man, I will do and will let you know on results. I want to try natural alternatives before embarking on minoxidil as the side effects listed are many. For application, how much do you recommend and how many times a day as I also want to use it for thickness of head hair and should I used 3,4 or 5%? Your beard was on point, now I guess your waiting for terminal growth which takes some time right...

I feel as if my progress is slowing down im almost at the 3 month mark (April 4) and I havent seen much improvements since reaching 2 months

+Tank yeah i have heard about that. No. For a start its not even proven minoxidil inhibits collagen in humans. The only place i have seen it is test tube studies. Even so. Collagen is a protien. It will probably be destroyed by stomach acid and even if it is absorbed wont necessarily reach the beard. Dermarolling imho is a far better option

The only minoxidil available in the uk is for the scalp only. Do I have to purchase the ones from the us?

Well 2x a day it lasts a month (since each can is a 1 month supply) so if you are only applying 1x a day it will last twice as long. In short: 2 months

My goatee is finally decent if I use beard dye because my hair is light brown, when I dye it it looks respectable. But my cheeks are far more stubborn but getting there. For the first six months I used foam and almost nothing happened, when I switched to liquid I saw more hair within two months than I saw in those other six. It’s a bitch to know I’d be so further ahead by now if I had known but I’m just happy that now I know and it’s workin! When I can grow a beard no one will see my jaw ever again not even in my coffin
