I have a S&W 32 revolver that was handed down to me from my grandpa. He bought it back in like in the 1920's or maybe the 1930's. He used it to shoot rattler and copperhead snakes with it when he was growing up on my great grandpa cow and milk farm in western Pennsylvania. And back then there was no kinds of background checks or nothing like that to buy any kind of a gun. Glad to see the 32 is kind of making a comeback.

You are thinking of which 32 ACP? Gavrilo Princip used a .380 caliber pistol to assassinate Archduke Franz Ferdinand at the start of World War I. Adolf Hitler used a 7.65mm Walther PPK to commit suicide at the end of War II.

The longer the barrel, the greater the velocity & energy, regardless of the origin of the round. Fiocchi "Shooting Dynamics" 32 ACP / 7.65 Browning 73 Grain FMJ has the greatest Velocity & Energy at the cheapest price. In other words it is the most "Economical" round mass produced & available to the public. Having said that, Underwood Ammo uses a Lehigh Defense "Xtreme Cavitator" fluted solid copper bullet that is a 50 Grain 32 ACP round with amazing results... The Underwood "Xtreme Cavitator" 32 Auto actually meets the FBI Protocols for any Self-Defense round, making it the 1st 32 ACP round to ever do so!!! Get a Zastava M70 Surplus 32 ACP Pistol & a Kel-Tec P32 & load them with Underwood "Xtreme Cavitator" 50 Grain SUPERIOR HIGH PERFORMANCE AMMUNITION & then compare & contrast the results... EDC a Kel-Tec P32 filled w/ Underwood Xtreme Cavitator 7+1 & it weighs less than 10 ounces, it sits in a pocket holster that is light, comfortable, & nobody will ever know it's there, including the person doing the EDC. At 25 yards it's a breeze to place all 8 rounds into Center Mass & it will penetrate hard barriers, go through glass, a car door, & lots of clothing. It is perfection! Oh & by the way, did you use one of the worst 32 Auto rounds on purpose for this biased test?#Make32GreatAgain

Since not many people are made out of ceramic wouldn't shooting ballistic gel be a better indicator of it's penetration??

This is just a demonstration to compare how different calibers perform in the same medium, in this case tile. It's a series, not a one off video. It is certainly not in any way representative of flesh and bone. I think for that type of testing the Paul Harrell "meat target" is one of the best.

Understood! Thank you for the reply. I just got a Tomcat a few months ago and have had it to the range only one time and couldn't hit a thing lol! I'm blaming it right now on my 2 finger grip.. I have a big hand! I got some grip extenders for the magazines and they allow my pinky finger to grip the gun now and it feels very good and solid in my hand. Hope to get to the range when it warms up. Was -13F the other night!! Yikes!

Policeman sadly took a shot to the head not long ago with a 3032 Tomcat .. he died where he stood.. perhaps ceramic tiles are a predictive of how a human skull withstands the maligned .32 round .. a .32 round to the center of the head is more effective than a .50 Cal round to the arm

*I really don't 'get' this type of testing, other than "How many tiles will this break?"*(if this is the criteria of testing a handgun meant as self-defense against humans, I'm not understanding the value of the results in terms of 'self-defense')*.22's kill more people every year than all other calibers combined*(this presents something of a 'false comparison model' of statistics due to the enormousnumbers of .22 caliber guns...yet it still establishes it's lethality against humans is not an issue of contention! The small 'rim-fire' is absolutely lethal)*I personally am disgusted and disheartened by so many people who are obsessed with"What's the best handgun to kill people with?"*

First off relax. Take a couple of deep breaths and realize that you are on the INTERNET! We shoot stuff for fun. There is absolutely nothing scientific about shooting a row of floor tile but it is a heck of a lot of fun if you just stop taking yourself so seriously for a moment. Also I think you are a bit mislead with your "what is the best handgun to kill people with" statement. I think most people look for the best handgun to keep from being killed.

*Spare me your 'illogical logic' regarding "looking for the best handgun to keep from being killed" nonsense* *There is no 'constant state of warfare' occurring in the U.S., and no amount of 'Hillbilly declarations' to the contrary mean anything!* (why would anyone want/need a handgun for protection in an armed conflict? And where are these 'conflicts' occurring other than inside your paranoid, delusional mind?) *"Looky hyar now whut I gotses! We'uns gonna' see just how fur this hyar peashooter kin git thet tiny lil bull-it raht thru them thar tiles!"* *Thus pronounces 'Cletus the Slack-jawed Yokel'* ( I am not 'Misled' by the likes of you, nor any of your ilk! You've already destroyed any credibility you sought with this video...you yourself say 'this is just for fun' and then assume a position of 'you know something' when in fact *YOU DO NOT* 'know' much of anything other than to 'Post' a video of shooting at ceramic tiles)
