JBG,you will really appreciate Blue's ride after driving that Freightliner. Also the manual transmission, especially in LA area. Long live KW's and automated transmissions.

I agree, Blue is way better. Plus I like the interior of the T680 vs the Freightshaker aka Freightliner.

I remember as a little kid in the 90's in Saipan, my dad would always say he HATED driving automatic trucks! lol Out of all the trucks his company has issued him He loved his 97 ford Louisville daycab (AeroMax)!! before that he drove those Diamond Reo, White freightliner and a couple other trucks in the 80's!

JBG - Hearing you say "I lost Ivan" reminded me of something I learned long ago when I was in the army and had to drive in convoys. Each driver is responsible for the vehicle BEHIND themselves. If the person leading can not clearly see the vehicle behind then the lead vehicle must slow, or stop, until the follower catches up, that is the only way to be sure that the convoy stays together. Hope Blue gets over her sickness soon.

I'm no trucker (actually I do drive trucks, but just small ones, 5 to 8 tons) so, I want to know, is Blue an auto shift? I mean, you talk about not remembering on driving with clutch, that's why I'm asking you this... Thanks and keep up the good work!

Most of the drivers when they drive a different truck they get the feeling something is missing or isnt right. I drive a 2012 Kenworth T700 and wouldnt give it up for the T680. I got used to my truck lol.

Where do you get one of those head or body cameras ?? I need one for when I'm driving my bus !!

What do you think of mods that convert a truck to a mobile home, that is also used to haul freight? They have a built in mini kitchen and bathroom with toilet and shower.

The rentals are always the cheapest tractors that you can rent. And yes most of them are not really clean inside because the rental folks always expects the renter to clean it before gets return. Go Johnny Be Good!

I know how you feel when your truck breaks down I had it happen with the old company I had I didn't like I hate when something breaks down

Why don't you shift by the RPM's and only use the clutch to stop and start ? You can hear the power of that Cat ! wow !!! click your heels together and say there's no place like home,there's no place like home !lol you should start out in 2nd or 3rd when bob tailing anyway .

I drive a blue 2013 KW T660 and my company tried to put me into a '15 International and I said no thanks, I'll keep the KW :)

In a semi, when coming to a stop, can you put it in neutral when you stop? I know you can do it in a car.

You can, the truck I was in when you would do it and engage the clutch brake (which was going bad) it took it a minute to be able to put it back in gear without grinding it. However yes you can. I wouldn't advise it in case you have to get moving quickly again.

Diesel is just the fuel and def is a fluid that goes in separate to help with emissions

Brett Sheridan In 2014, He drove a brand new T680 and a old KW. Both have a 10 speed stick shift.
