This was a movie, and honestly, it perfected the Civilization simulation. And I rooted for Brazil, because they were underdogs, and who doesn't like an underdog? Beautiful movie, 10/10, and honestly to think this was just an event for charity, chef's kiss.

Gotta say the 3 months of editing shines through in this video. I felt so invested the whole time and the way you captured this even was so well done! These in-game civilization experiments are my favorite videos on KZread and so I really hope we see more from you because that was very well done! Held my interest all the way through the 2 hrs.

I don’t play video games. I haven’t for the last 7 years. I’m a software engineer & I clicked on this video thinking it was about optimizing code for high server throughput using the rust programming language. I just sat here from 5 am - 7 am watching the entire video. That was bloody awesome & the creator of this video is not a gamer, but a story teller and has a real future in the cinematic industry. The ability to capture such intricate story lines & show the nuances of characters, build empathy for different story archs - wow. What an amazing talent, bravo. Truly, I am glad that platforms such as KZread are democratising the media industry in such interesting and creative ways. This was an awesome movie.

I usually watch long videos like this while playing a game, but the story, the way it was narrated and how it was edited I ended up watching the entire thing from start to finish in one sitting. This was a trip and dang was it a rollercoaster

One thing Rust has is an amazing community of content creators, i'll often slide in some Rust videos in the rotation(trap bases, mass raids, stuff like that), but as good as those are, this takes it to another level.

Brazil’s story was sad but people are just looking over the fact that Mexico bombed pearl harbor even when the islanders weren’t apart of the world.

Ive never played Rust but this was an epic vid and the event concept was epic. The story arcs gamers create in open worlds is truly magical. The ending to this story was truly spectacular. The saying between my small gaming community is "art emulates life" and really this video speaks volumes to that.

As a Brazillian it was so nice to see my people get protagonism in this story. Thank you Fancy, for including their streams, looking at their perspective, showing the issue of communication. I feel like maybe they got left out by accident since they it was the only clan without a dominant grasp on English, so maybe the U.N. chose it was not worth the effort to communicate properly. But in the end, Brasil found their friends, showing us not even language can stop friendship.

this was amazing! I never played rust, but I do know people will be people everywhere. as you proved in your event that all wars are meaning less and all they do is bring pain and destroction, its correct about the real world as well. Thank you for this! I hope there will be many more people that will get to this conclusion.

I don't even play Rust, but this is an event that needs to be forever memorialized in the annals of video game history! One of the best pieces of community-based content I've EVER seen. Well fucking done.

In real life’s history they were always been protagonists/Heroes and antagonists/Villains, believers and disbelievers, prophets and false prophets, Messengers and False Messengers, Tyrants and Benefactors etc…. and good stories doesn’t have to have protagonists or any specific character or plot really, as long as the stories are meaningful and or send a good message to it’s readers/listeners, then *they are* in fact *good* stories.

As someone else had posted, EVE Online still holds the record for the most players in a single instance. 5k in one system, 65k on one server. EVE is just different. Its also recorded as the most expensive online battle ever, equivalent to a massive amount of IRL money. Highly recommend watching some videos on it. Its a massively impressive feat, in every regard. Servers, Performance, Community, Scale, etc.

As much as I didn’t like OT pushing everyone around and never getting their comeuppance, watching Brazil finally get the recognition and revenge they deserved put a giant smile on my face. It sounded like their leader was genuinely getting emotional in that meeting, and to only be swept under the rug again, especially after not even starting it and being treated unfairly, is one of the few times I’ve actually been angry at something that I had nothing to do with. FUCK THE UN!!! 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷

KZread autoplay got me to this video and I loved it. I feel sorry for the recorder's pc, it was struggling with life at some point during that massive raid. Thank you for the work. You got yourself a new fan.

Just wanted to mention a few things... First off, fancy this one is for you. I can tell just how much time and effort you spent on this for the last 3 months. Seeing you deafened in our discord calls 80% of the time grinding on this masterpiece. You truly don't hold back when it comes down to creating such a quality video like this one.. Rust needed a creator like you and I cant wait for the many more Events you'll be hosting. Also for those of you who want to understand a little more of the lore in America. My god.. was this the most stressful 3-4 days of ever... haha. I missed my moms birthday for this because I had to run an election with CoconutB and also to pay back my debt to OT during the World War. The war on Mexico was started because of Twitter drama before the event. We had some many internal problems in America. We struggled for 90% of the event and had no allies on our side of the world. We constantly dealt with Insiding, players trying to go deep on us. Door camping and much more. We were FUCKING BROKE all the time cause people kept funneling loot out our base... Anything that could've gone wrong during that event for us. WENT WRONG. My alliances with Africa were all talk and we both didn't have the time to meet with each other as much as we wanted. America was constantly under pressure and yea... I am not a good leader. I've never done this before. But, by all means, it was absolutely worth the attempt. I appreciated everyone who was loyal to me and stayed by my side during the event. Only they know what I mentally and even physically went thru 🤣... I didn't wanna become the villain of this story. But honestly, that's how it turned out. "If you can't play the good guy, sometimes you've got to play the villain." Again. Truly just an amazing piece of work Mr. Orb. Love you man, thanks for the spotlight

Some of those features/scenes should definitely be used for promoting RUST. This was so encouraging to keep watching even tho I barely played RUST. But this video was just amazing. Big respect to everyone that made the impossible possible.

This was insane to watch. I've never played rust, but I watched the entire 2 hours in one sitting. You're an incredible storyteller, and editor. Props to you, and everyone who made this possible!

1:38:20 as many people can vouche. Yes, not a single person was toxic, rude, or tried to troll. With roughly 400+ people in the same area there wasnt one singular team kill, and in fact we almost crashed the server from dancing. I do not think I will ever see such a thing again for as long as i live. Thank your to everyone who was there, and thank you Fancy for putting on the biggest event in rust history.

its nice to know that there is a whole entire galaxy with billions of stars and planets and all those players are just doing there starting world wars and aliancences on there one little green and blue world in a huge massive cosmos

"Brazils coming" The coldest line by the leader

This is like a professional history documentary that was shot in real time. the camera work, the editing, the story telling, the relationships, twists & turns, redemption & betrayals and everything that made this a great industry-grade cinema. you made me root for every character, good or bad, even the best movies rarely achieve that. also NK were a wild bunch and the fact that they were gonna self-exile underwater was comedy gold.

wow as someone who has never played this game, i was super invested in this video, thank you amazing work here to everyone involved

FFS!!! Gamers truly are the most unique and brilliant humans in existence. We absolutely love to role play and take it seriously at times and makes our Hobby constantly hilarious. Rust, Ark, Conan etc. can’t wait to see what we will be able to do in Dune Awakening

I have ZERO idea how this video came across my recommendations. I've never played an online pc game. This, however is quite possibly the best video game movie that I've seen from a content creator. The idea was so amazing I've been looking for other videos to see something similar. Seeing all of these side stories have made me watch other creators like Memeio, who is hilarious. I know that the editing and everything must take forever, so please take your time making the next banger. You have a future in film making

It’s very very rare for me to spend 2 hours of my time watching the same video continuously. Especially on KZread, however you masterly crafted this event and video edit so well I couldn’t help myself but treat it like I was at the movies. Well done sir, this was truly fantastic.

Fair play to Brazil, they were being thrown under the bus by the UN the entire time and were constantly being ignored. But they persisted, and I applaud them for their dedication and resolve! This story actually made my eyes water a couple times wtf. Listening to brazils president at the end standing up for his country, and people OUT of roleplay was so powerful, and watching them get their retribution was amazing. Also CocoB saying farewell to everyone at server restart had me BAWLING, that dude was so charismatic

I rarely comment on videos, but this was by far one of the most entertaining videos I have ever seen. The suspense, the politics, the betrayal... this was a cinematic masterpiece. You have to do more videos like this. Your storytelling was phenomenal! Idk if it's just me, but I love the concept of mini-civilizations -- people becoming allies, making trade deals, waging war, building empires... It's just so fascinating to see the psychology of humans play out. Things that happen in the real world happen in these simulations too (and it's far more entertaining because it's at a much faster pace).

I would love to see this more often, I can only see this done once or twice on Ark and Minecraft. Its amazing to see how little story lines unfold through just a game.

I think we can all agree brazil was the best country on the server

The stopping of the French flank was absolutely beautiful. That’ll be on the History channel in years to come.

Watching Brazil and old America come together not knowing each others language to save OT was so cool to watch.

Hollywood couldn’t even script something so authentic and beautiful as this. Well done guys.

Just need to say I've watched this three times over now just so I ensure that I've caught every moment. This is in my opinion more entertaining by far than any feature film you would find at a movie theatre. Much respect to Fancy for the effort and dedication to his craft and this video. I'm now a subscriber for life. :)
