he actually has such an intellectual mind it would be amazing to just sit down with him for like an hour and just talk. he's incredibly insightful and i don't think he gets enough respect for that. i mean his books and his lyrics are just so much further and more advanced than he gets credit for by most people who just see him as another celebrity. i'm glad there's minds like his in the 21st century.

I so agree, I would love to just talk to him for an hour. I probably would like pass out or something from being to excited lol. Only thing I've noticed that would be annoying with him, is that he says 'like' A LOT. I ain't judging, cause I say 'like' a lot too. But this makes me realize how annoying it must be

Pete is one of the most creative people I've ever heard. He is an amazing inspiration he is my hero and he really changed my life, he's very relatable and he uses complicate words that you don't recognize but he's still so easy to understand.

diet adults and perfect words . oh how I love him.

FOB has introduced me to a world of other music but in the end I always come back to them! There's something about their music that's just...life! The songs are just so relatable, you know?

Fall Out Boy was an outlet for me when I was 13. Mindlessly not knowing what they said in their lyrics, I was that one fan girl that thought all the guys were attractive, but it helped me escape the issues going on in my life at that age. Growing up I've looked back at the songs I knew were my favorite at 13 and I completely understood what Pete was saying. "You say you're not listening and I said I'm wishing..." and "But you know me: I like being all alone. And keeping you all alone" (Spoken at the end of 20 dollar) "Tonight the headphones will deliver you the words that I can't say. Tonight I'm writing you a million miles away. Tonight is all about "We miss you." Plus my favorite "Don't pretend you ever forgot about me."

this interview makes me so sad honestly because you can tell how much pete underestimates fall out boy's impact by referring to them as purely a 'gateway' band and not a band that actually inspires other artists, which i think is untrue. i mean, in my opinion, they inspire me every day and i constantly go back to their music. fob was so formative to me and i honestly think they're one of the few rock bands that have actually evolved their sound and stayed genuine to what they want to create.
