how does those private clubs get the rights to a area over just a guy who wants to fish,who manages it ,please explane

The owners of the land and fishing rights rent the fishing to angling clubs and you have to be a member of that club to fish there. Some of the fishing rights have been bought outright by angling clubs. Some landowners sell day tickets for those who are not club members and there are a few free stretches where the land is publicly owned.

Hello Graham,salmon do now run the Ure ,and are fished for downstream and up to Asygarth Falls,in September,October
