30+ Year Old Graffiti Blackbook from 1987 - 1996! - Flipthrough
Ойын-сауық
In this video I flipthrough my 30 Year Old Graffiti Blackbook from 1987 to 1996. This is the best of the rest. I have loads more from that time, but I've selected the bits that I thought were the least embarrassing from that time period.

@@CUTEMKUltras but your letters might look easier but they are really on point.i really like your letter styles as well👌💯
Man those old 80/90s styles, arrows for days and lines for funk - towards the mid 90s though I can see the foundation of your later character work. Thanks for sharing this history brother.

@@BornWriter I hope young people are encouraged to pick up the cans mate. Or at least the pens. It's given me so much joy over the years and I know you and many others feel the same way about it all.

@@CUTEMKUltras Man for sure, I`m sure the experience would be slightly different but still valuable - Creativity is never a waste bro
WOW!! I have the same Conart sticker on my first blackbook. I got the sticker at a little skate/graff shop on the west side of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in the U.S. if I’m not mistaken. Back in the late nineties we used to drive there from my hometown of Altoona Pennsylvania which is about a two hour drive, just to get caps and early graf magazines, which were little more than color photocopies stapled together. Man I have thoroughly enjoyed your videos on your black books. Not only the amazing pieces and concepts you did in them, but the stories and the respect you give to other artists. Maybe someday we could do a collaboration. I’d be honored. Keep up the great work man. MOPES/SIRENS

Cool mate, I think I got mine from Scrap Yard in New York in the late 90s when I was working over there. Yeah, to me so much of grafffiti is about the scene and the people in it, not just my own contribution. The people make it for me. Could be down for a collab at some point as well!
Yes yes really like the old stuff matey. I have to say I've really enjoyed the blackbook sessions this week fella. Looks like another banger sunny day so I'm off for cheeky walk to get them steps in and take some photos. enjoy your weekend cute. Stay blessed. 🖋️

Underrated channel. You know your graff history and you have nice style, this vid was a great reminder of how far you progressed.

Ah, interesting mate, that's a very 1980s old school type of styling. I like it too.

Epic.. I only have a few sketches left from 87 to 1990. I either threw them away or when I was caught I never picked my stuff back up.

Our teenage selves never thought it would matter I guess mate. I was so irresponsible at that age. Treated my property like it was nothing. I'm amazed that any of my stuff has survived!
What markers did you use for all your pieces?

Mostly Stylefiles markers mate, but also Molotows and Poscas when I need paint markers
