These have some crazy wear on them, the vamps are cracked and somehow the tips of both boots have been worn through to the thermal layer underneath!
While most boots are meant to be thrown away after a few months, Nicks are built to last. When your boots start to need some servicing, you can send them in to have them resoled or completely rebuilt! Nicks Handmade Boots are serviceable and last years longer than a mass-produced boot. Since 1964, Nicks has been making the highest quality boots on the market, right here in Spokane Washington. If you're tired of your old work boots wearing out, upgrade to Nicks and enjoy the most comfortable boots on the market.

I’ve been wearing Nick’s and White’s for the last 40 years out working in the woods. My last rebuild was a pair of White’s Smoke Jumpers that were worn out and rebuilt by Nick’s into a pair of Hot Shots. Now I’m currently retired but still enjoying my “Smoke Shots”. Nick’s is the better boot in my opinion. A very helpful staff of dedicated employees making great products here in America. Thanks Nick’s!

One of the things that is a constant favourite aspect of these videos is the little snippets here and there of conversations, which helps remind us that the folks who work here are in fact human beings, not machines, and when you’re anxiously waiting for your boots, thinking the “why aren’t they ready yet?” (because let’s face it, we all think that at some point) this helps ease the mind

I think that's the whole point of buying Nick's boots, you pay a lot of money but it is money well spent. Besides nothing like a well worn pair of boots. I bet those boots are comfortable to the guy that sent them. Also it be personal attachment maybe someone who is not longer here, bought them. I did the same thing with Gerber multi-tool i bought when i was a young enlisted soldier at Ft Polk. I had the option to get it replaced or fixed. I had a personal attachment to it since i took it to Iraq and Afghanistan.

Question for the Nick's heritage Chelsea boots, they have the Goring black thing exposed/showing on the side of the boots. And the work Chelsea boot it's cover. My question is that can we have a heritage boot which the leather is covering the Goring as an option ? I would like to know if there's a possibility for it, I personally don't like the Goring thing showing on my boots. The video on the work Chelsea look beautiful but online most of them the Goring is exposed. Thanks in advance, Peace ✌️✌️✌️

Considering buying the lace to toe boots, but im conflicted on the height. 6" looks a little stubby but they would be a little lighter than the 8". They would be just for walking and casual activities. Does anyone have a opinion on the best height for boots with just walking in mind?

I have been using the Redwing-Nicks Lace to Toes from our video for several months now mainly for walking around but also light hiking and yard work. They've been doing great! I believe they are 10" and for the hiking, I do wish they were shorter. So personally id go with 6 inch, I've seen lots of them come through production and they don't look too bad at all. Hopefully this helps!

I thought they just going resole. Them ripping the bottom leather quite shock me. Really hoping to see the 'expertise' trying to revive/rejuvinate/whatever, the bottom black ladder. Are they going to oil it, immerse in warm water? Using mix of acrylic and some rubbery glue and some leather fiber. Then steam it. Just to preserve memory or some granddad stories. And then it is only suitable for walk around only. Light use. Interesting to watch these kind of things.

@@johnready630 Respectfully, I’m having trouble understanding why this amount of work went this rebuild. The complete uppers were not reused just the tops. The shoe has to be broken in again because of the extensive rework. The wearer will have the same adjustment period with this boot vs a brand new boot. If the uppers were kept, I could understand the benefits of the rework. However, with this amount of rework I just don’t get it. I have a pair of Allen Edmunds Shell Cordavan shoes for over 20 years. The soles and heels have been replaced many times and I still have good wear left for the future. I have also sent other shoes to Allen Edmunds for redrafting and I clearly see the benefit. However, with the amount of work done on this, why not buy a new shoe. This workmanship should also be present in a new shoe. The rebuild is outstanding.

@@jasonconklin8172 the big break in is in the bottom. I bought the BuilderPro (Nicks) and it’s months to break in. There comfy but hurt after a few hours. I got sucked into the hype. There crazy nice But it’s for ever to be truly comfy for long wear times. Save your break in and for the price just get a reg boot that’s comfortable right out of the box.

@@Paul37Ontario rather have the break in than a pair of boots that fall apart every year. Stock boots from non custom boot companies just don't have the build quality. Show me a boot with this build quality that is comfortable out of the box?

What do you do now cut the top off a pair of old worn out socks and attach it to the bottom of a brand new pair to go with it ....the work was that of a skilled craftsman but it does not make up for how dumb this was
