I would love to hear a full blown Q and A with this fella. Anything from how to operate a business to basic mechanic tips for all us mechanics out here, that would be a real treat. The wealth of knowledge he has needs to be spread to us newer technicians. 👍

Protect this bloke at all costs. What a nice knowledgeable guy.
Reminds me if Hank Hill was a heavy mechanic. Wise and down to earth. All of my favourite instructors and supers were like this man. Everyone knows beans are the ultimate survival food for any situation. Great video.
This yank was a winner since birth, great personality, you'll never see such great human beings very often in your lifetime, what a guy !!!
Young guys need to take lessons from this guy. Very humble and knowledgeable. Great advice at the end too!
TX is lucky to have guys like this move here.

Can’t wait to see more of this guy! He seems like he knows a lot of old school and new school repair
45 years as a diesel mechanic, now retired. Listen up those just starting out. Never more truer words ever spoken. Don’t make the customers problems your problems. Just do your job. Good luck on your new adventure sir.

Kurt is the MAN!!!!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉 sign him up to a deal I think alot of people would enjoy seeing him on the channel again. PUT HIM IN COACH
5 year diesel mechanic… I left California last year to move to Ohio best choice ever there are so many companies out here looking for mechanic they are practically just throwing money at you
this guy seems so down to earth I dont even know why tf I watch these , im not even a tech or anything but its cool to see what these guys use and how everyone has their tools setup differently to work effeciently.
Awesome guy! I’m glad he was able to relocate his business to a state that values their citizens.
Mind blowing this guy is from California. Had to be an implant. Good, hard working, down to earth, blue collar, gentlemen.
This dude needs his own channel
Good luck with the move. We welcome good old fashion Americans that work hard, play hard and are true patriots.
Your expertise will be greatly appreciated in Texas.
I love old mechanics like this. I’d enjoy sitting down and talking to him for a few hours… he’s probably forgotten more than I know.
Welcome to Texas Kurt! I'm about 20 minutes from there, in Splendora. I picked up a new / used 48 aluminum ridgid last week for 150! Lots of bargains in this area. I'm considering working with Tekamo. If you need help with anything give me a holler. Good luck on the next chapter!

Hey, thanks Kasey, I would love to take you up on that buddy. I’m gonna definitely need help. I’m not familiar with the area and would appreciate help with any leads, best parts houses, and Texas BBQ Lol. I moved to California for the work years ago, but I’m from Ennis Texas.

@kurt4equip check out Springcreek for bbq. Papa's bbq is good too but not sure if they are in that part of town. Bbq is almost to expensive to afford 😅 I'm just getting my truck rolling hopefully it picks up quickly. Hope the same for you!
Thank you Tekamohd for sharing the trades with us.
this guy seems like a genuine super nice person!! you guys need to go on some jobs with him like the others!!
God damn I'm glad there's still of you around sir
I moved from Laguna Nigel California where i was a Honda/Acura automotive mechanic since 1998 to West Texas Odessa/Midland about 5 years ago and got into heavy equipment mechanical. Texas for a blue collar worker is great.

I drive through there pretty regularly, and I have noticed how much it has grown. Looks really busy. I always wondered about the work over there.
Honestly man this guy seems really cool and would be a great boss
Yes when you depend on your truck for mobile repairs fuel prices are very important. Nothing speaks higher then experience ;-) I love when he gets to an old favorite tool always a wondrous story's behind it ;-)
Good luck here in Texas! Conroe is a good area for a good mechanic. Please don't vote like they do in California or it will get worse for all of us. Just like in California you will need to protect your tools and truck from thieves because we have them here also.
This guy reminds me of a Journeyman Chiller Mechanic I worked with for a few years. He just retired a couple years ago, he was 79 years old and still working 40 plus hours a week. I hope a guy like that has an apprentice or a younger kid to show some of those skills. Thanks for the Videos.
This guy wouldn't have all these tools and truck unfit if he wasn't serious about his ocupation, love it.
What a nice set up, always nice to see someone with years of experience figure out the most efficient ways to work.
I really like this guy, he seems like a very humble and down to earth guy. Also, that was some very good advise about customers and their problems, I'll have to remember that.
I moved from California to Texas 8 years ago from a gm light duty diesel heavy line mechanic to heavy equipment mechanic its a big difference and more money in my pocket 🙌
i have been doing mechanic work about as long as he has but i bet i could learn several things from him.
Great Video Buddy… Had a chance to work with him for a few months Great Person/Friend and Teacher I learned Soo much he know every little thing about John deers and Cats and Soo much more….He will Get the job done and do it right … love the video…your Buddy Josh.M
Thanks and good luck to you sir!
what a guy. Can we see him again? God bless and remember all things for Gods glory
Serious organization to that man's truck. Bravo.
This guy is a hero. Keep at it as long as you can.
What a nice Guy, wish him all the Best!
Great tour! Need an interview with @certifedwrenchpodcast
Nice truck Thank you for showing the truck I love looking at what other seasoned techs use for tools I’m 54 I’ve been wrenching all my life.
Tours where the chrome is worn of the wrench are the best. Texas don't worry he does not have ear rings. I lived in West Texas, the prairie dug their holes 6 ft. above ground, the only thing that blocked the wind from Canada was a barbed wire fence in Amarillo, most beautiful sky's and good people.
Yup, this guy will fit in nicely here.
Great truck tour guys !
This guys a sweetheart what a good guy
That was a really good tour with an awesome tech. Real down to earth and someone you can tell has a lot of knowledge and experience.
Welcome to Texas!
This guy is a gem!
Enjoyed this video , enjoyed the time watching this guy show us his tools.
Love the experience from a 30 year vet, but I would recommend not keeping stuff in cab if at all possible small metal objects in a bad wrench are bad enough a whole tool box would be the end .. i hate to be safety Steve here I still put stuff myself bc it’s the only space I have but if you do just lock it down the best your possibly can Thanks again for the insight and for the tour can’t get enough of these Spare clothes and spare canned food ain’t no way around it brother .. those who don’t know will at some point
12:08 Welcome to Texas!! Your expertise will be appreciated! God bless.
I've been thinking about doing the same thing for years
Welcome to the Republic Of Texas 🇲🇽🇺🇲🤘
Humble guy. Liked it. Good luck in Texas! Did I miss a hammer drawer? Watching from Ontario Canada 🎉
Would love to see him on the job. A lot of knowledge and tricks of the trade can be learned from Kurt!!

Damn another Californian coming. But seems like a good guy. Conroe is 25 miles from me.
Great video. Thanks
Going to be a great video can tell already! Also I’ve wondering how that would be to move states how that transition would work.
I’m days away from leaving Conroe, heading back to PA. Missed opportunity to learn something from this man.
Great video that man is a national treasure

Dude I’m out in Conroe welcome pal
Your gonna miss California, right around June or July in Houston
Good Luck, man! I'm guessing you are OK with culture shock. The pay rate in TX don't come close to what San Diego county offers. Plus, you'll be in TX. Who wants that? Stay safe. Good fixers have work anywhere.
24:00 Man it was like he was speaking to me. Good advice. Hopefully it sinks in for me.
I’m born and raise n Conroe Tx and moved out here to Cali worse thing I could’ve done best of luck out there my old company always needing heavy equipment mechanic…
I have that 3/4 ratchet I paid a ton for off Matco truck it’s a real good one.
I want to see more of this fella here.
i wanna see this guy on a job!
I'm sure he has a alot of experience and probably alot of cool stories....
Thanks for a great video. There’s nothing that beats experience. I always get alot out of other guys truck tours, I really got a lot out of yours. Got a couple of questions. I see you have a couple of Sealtool tools, a twister and a seal clasper. Have you had good luck with the clasper? Some barrel designs can make getting the resealed piston back in a real challenge. I’ve looked at that tool before but never pulled the trigger, the site seems a little sketchy. Sounds like the ESI relay buddy has worked well for you. I’ve been looking at that one too but most of the relays I run into are 24 volt. After hearing you had good luck with yours I checked their site and they’ve got a 12/24 kit now, #193. Going to get it, Thanks. I also liked the looks of that mag mount umbrella. I’m in the PNW so it’s raining anytime I’ve got a breakdown, it looks pretty good. Seems like it would be even better if it had a lever lock like a mag mount dial indicator to make it easier to take off. Thanks for taking the time to do the video, good luck to ya down in Texas!

Thanks for your comments. Those seal tools I bought from Hercules Seals out of Florida. they work great for me however, the seal collapser took me a little time to figure out all it’s tricks like trying to release it. Lol.
Who’s brand are your red boxes? I need a couple that size myself.
Them the best beans out there!!
very nice Truck ,,,
I’ll be working all surrounding areas of Conroe within an hour or so. Currently looking for new customers and new opportunities.
Welcome to TX Conroe is a great city!
Best of luck! Sadly pay for blue collar is trash in Texas. Play it smart and prepare for that.
Hi my respect to this guy.i moved from the big city to a small town Bakersfield California houses are cheaper and big open land no traffic and plenty of work I like it here ..I been in Texas and don't like it there I had family moved there and then they came back to California the weather there is outrageous .bakersfield California is like country style farming living on country style is beutifull here plenty of work everyday .
I’d love to watch a call out video with him in it
Where you going to work in Conroe? If he said it I missed it.
Great advise at the end. Also, I broke the base of my Wilton C2 and can get a replacememt base for aroumd $200

Im in the same boat. Went with the tubular handle wrenches. Snap On part number XH1100 for straight X420 for offset They dont break like combo wrenches and take up less space on the truck.
Like this guy
take that truck to southwest truck rigging for a pto. its a good shop
Would love to know if something like our portable torch machines has a place on a heavy repair truck like this. I saw the torch, and I’m curious how much you use it for repairs.

Be careful down here in Texas. The roads have a tendency to knock off exhaust systems on diesels.😂
