I came across these "hack" sites while looking for something else. One thing I noticed in the comments section is complaining about repeats and old items. The problem with those complaints is that it is only old and a repeat for them. For me, it is new.

Do not put a bottle of water/a brick etc in your toilet tank. This might have been “OK” for a 13L toilet but Most toilets now are 6L/flush or less. Your toilet is designed to work/flush with a certain amount of water from the tank... If anything, you’re going to eventually cause the toilet to plug up, because it doesn’t have to right amount of water to properly complete it’s flush cycle. Then you’ll have to pay a plumber $150+ to fix the toilet! And that is going to cost you WAY more $ over its lifetime of using a little less water..

On purpose I read all the comments because I wanted to see how many people tried the egg cooking. Well obviously no-one does these hacks cos if anyone had cooked the egg according to these directions, it would have exploded in the microwave! You have to really break up the yolk and put a lid on the bowl with a weight ontop or it will explode all through the microwave! But you can make a poached egg in the microwave like is demonstrated here but only if you break the yolk first. So you won't get that nice runny yolk after cooking an egg in the microwave.

Never ever use Isopropyl Alcohol (aka rubbing alcohol) to clean your glasses, even highly diluted. It will remove the specialist coatings which the optical labs now apply to most lenses, eg to reduce glare.

The “table test” for crooked glasses is 100% wrong! No one has a completely symmetrical face. Glasses have to be adjusted to fit your particular crooked face, and we ALL have one eye &/or ear lower than the other!

I don't know if this has been mentioned, but after cutting a "tie wrap" heat the cut part a little with a lighter and then push on it with your finger...otherwise, if ever you brush on the cut plastic, it is almost like brushing on a scalpel :) ...you will bleed
