Yes indeed that was a tremendous gesture.. I would put that second to the train rescue.. the only reason why the train won out because in order to get that many people to agree on one thing was next to a miracle is the only reason why it took first place.

You believe or not, that old man was Muslim and he forgive his son's murderer according to Holy Quran, the holy book of Muslims. Where it says: “We have not created the heavens and the earth and everything in between except for a purpose. And the Hour is certain to come, so forgive graciously.” (Quran 15:85) In this verse, we are reminded that our time on this earth and in this dunya is limited - we must, therefore, try to understand the importance of forgiveness. If we ourselves hope to be forgiven for our own shortcomings and sins, the least we can do is to forgive and pray for the forgiveness of our fellow brothers and sisters.

So why don't you? All of you? It doesn't take much or can even be giving someone a sandwich and a drink, donating a jacket you don't need anymore even giving money directly especially if the person is playing music or other busking work, they are working hard to make the music you are enjoying and often don't get very much because many assume that they are going to get drugs or alcohol with the money which is not true. They are trying to earn a living without having to go on assistance or possibly venture into darker methods of getting money like robbing people. When donating to charities unless stated they give only 15-20 percent of your donation the rest goes to the company that is telemarketing, and our of that 25% the people who work with the poor people are paid then the poor get 5%-7% which comes to not much. God bless those people that really will help others.

The scene where the judge recognized her old classmate who was good at school but is now going to prison was really heart-breaking. There was also something philosophical about it, because most of us fail to recognize that the line between success and failure is often very thin. We just assume people have success or failure because they just 'deserved' it. In actual fact, life is full of 'Sliding Door' moments, and just circumstances & events can result in people ending up in very different places in life, regardless of merit, talent or hard work. As this judge herself pointed out, the man now being sent to prison was once the best student in their class!

@@apassingship7784 - Sorry, but I have to respectfully disagree with you. Empirically, many criminals are known to be highly intelligent. Maybe you are confused because you seem to think the only 'criminal' is the one who stands in the street-corner and mugs you. This is far from the truth. The worst criminals usually operate on a much bigger scales, both financially and in terms of the canvas covered. Want a reminder of a very recent example? Sam Bankman-Fried of FTX who committed a fraud of $8 billion! He is a Graduate from MIT! Many of the top henchmen of Hitler who committed mass murders were highly qualified PhDs, Scientists, Doctors, etc. (some of those Scientists were later secretly given clemency by the USA and moved to the US so that they could acquire the technology for the first nuclear bomb of the world). Your very own Trump was a dumb student in school, and yet ended up becoming the President of the US. So, yes while good performance in school and academics can help, there are many too many other factors that determine success in life, and sheer circumstances can play a very big role. I do however agree with the second part of your statement, ie. that as a black man, he probably faces more discrimination in society.

Too sad that the exact opposite happened to me, my students stole my purse instead 🤷🏼‍♀️ And minute 10:02 was also very heartwarming for me because it reminded me of an old lady that helped me when I was doing some groceries, I had to pick up a cake that I had ordered and I miscalculated so I ended up ordering a massively HUGE cake. The cake didn’t fit inside my cart so I was trying to keep it stable on top of the cart, hoping that it wouldn’t fall. The elder lady saw me struggling and she walked over to help me carry the cake all the way to the cashier. I offered to pay for her groceries as a sign of gratitude but she refused. She said that that’s what we’re all here for, to help one another without expecting anything in return. There are definitely very kind people in this world, you just have to actually see that and your life will be so much better ❤

There were several clips that brought me to tears.. but I guess the one of a father forgiving his son´s murderer in court was maybe the gesture of biggest strength and greatness I ever witnessed. But all those clips show that there are still loving and caring people all around us. Let them be an example to all of us. God bless those who care for others (especially for those who can´t do themselves).

As I would call myself an agnostic and therefore do believe that everybody should have the right to decide (and shouldn't be judged for that decision) who or what to believe in or even not to believe at all, I'd like to wish these great people we talk about to be blessed by the force or God they believe in. All those caring people shall have a fulfilled and long and healthy life and get back a hundred times in return what they do for the helpless, creatures in trouble or who ever they care for.

@@KisteBier79 Ameen In Islam, we believe that The Creator Who created us has blessed us with an intellect and a fortiori He gave us the will to CHOOSE between the Truth and Falsehood (otherwise why would we have a brain initially if it is not to use it ? And what would be the difference between humans and animals? Etc.). He didn't create us playing. He created us with a PURPOSE and He defined that purpose to us through chosen people among us to convey to us that Message and to teach us how to fulfill that purpose. Definitely The One Who Created us is The ONLY One Who will Judge us according to OUR CHOICES we made. This was a brief definition of one of our creeds... what do you mean please by "agnostic" ? What do you believe in ?

@@MoroccanARROWS More than twenty years ago when I was about 20 or 22 I met a young Muslim of 16 years of age who told me how he interpreted the Quran. To him Quran tells to live a life of honour and honesty. Pray to Allah, listen to his and Mohammad's (I dunno if I spelled it correctly; I'm not natively English-speaking..) words and honour them. He especially explained that in his opinion there is no passage commanding to not tolerate people of other religions but to pray for them to find the right way in their lives. I was greatly impressed by how big his knowledge about Quran was (although he was that young yet) because he spoke several hours and everything sounded.. well, just politely, gently and friendly. And the father who forgave his son's murderer is one example for exactly those lessons in particular. But I can only try to imagine how big your trust and love in God has to be to be that generous and full of love and peace in your heart. That makes this gesture such a huge sign in my opinion. Concerning agnostics: agnostics believe that there are things bigger and greater than we can imagine or even understand. I believe that there is a force guiding and leading our decisions but I wouldn't call it 'God'. It might be a God - but could also be an almighty force. That way I can accept that some of us call the force Jahwe, Allah, Buddha, God or any other name. In my opinion there is no need for war or intolerance just because other people do call whom they pray to in another way than I do. My parents had me baptised in the name of God/Jesus/Catholic church. But what Catholic church did all over the centuries to other religions, to women and men who weren't in line with them, to scientists (to shorten that: to millions of innocent people) cannot be what's right. And more than that it stands exactly in opposite to what they teach nowadays... That's the reason why I left Catholic church and decided to take a way less spiritual. But well, perhaps agnostics might be as spiritual as other religions, too? Perhaps it just depends on you giving that force a name or if you say 'there's a force guiding me through difficulties'.

@@KisteBier79 Thank you for your reply. I respect what I read so far. And Muhammad or Mohammad or Mohamed, ... are just different spellings of an ARABIC (not English lol) name *محمد* . English is not my mother tongue either, so no worries, we understand each other and language won't be an obstacle *inshaAllah* (God's willing, The Most High willing, The Almighty Willing, The Supreme Willing, ... these are some of the *hundreds* Most-Beautiful-Names of The One God Whose name in Arabic is *ALLAH* الله just like in any Arabic Bible(s) and just like Jesus/Iesus/Yesus/Yeshua/Isa عيسى peace be upon him called his God in *ARAMAIC* : the original language he spoke and preached the gospel (Al-Injeel) in, like in Hebrew it is Eloh and out of Glorification and Respect with add the plural "im" to become *Elohim* ,etc.). It is comforting that the statements of that young man sounded "well" and he represented *Islam* well (May Allah give him best rewards). Though, I'd like to emphasise that in Islam, there's no room for own opinions, personal experiences, subjective interpretations, etc. Rather in Islam, every statement we make it is A FORTIORI sourced either from *Quran* which is The VERBATIM WORD OF ALLAH and/or from *Sunnah* which is THE TRADITION OF THE MESSENGER OF ALLAH including his teachings, sayings, doings, acts, deeds, dealing in different situations, etc. It goes without saying that every one of these is proven by evidences and proofs which go in line with sound reasoning and natural inclination (called *Fitrah* in Arabic, which Allah The Creator put within each one of us when He Created us, and if this Fitrah is not altered by the education, the society, the media, etc. This Fitrah leads everyone of us to his Creator. Talking about agnosticism and from what I read. I can only CONFIRM what your Fitrah rejected! I wrote before that if the Fitrah is not corrupted and the person has a sincere heart an uses his brain, he has got big chances to be led to The Truth. By the way, your statements are not VERY FAR from The Truth that Islam teaches us. Your statements just need to be reframed and slightly retouched (no no I'm not talking about Photoshop lol). I also noticed that you often use : in my opinion, I think, perhaps, it could, it might, if... If I didn'tmisunderstand, this is what agnosticism is, and the use of conditional, doubt, uncertainty, are put on agnosticism. In Islam, it goes the other way. Directions and Laws are OBJECTIVE and applicable for everyone by The One Who Created us and Designed us (btw another one of His Most-Beautiful-Names is The Designer ;) When we have objective Directions, we have One Way, One Religion which leads to Success. With subjective Directions, we have many ways, many fake religions which lead to Loss. What do you mean by you decided to take a way less spiritual ? May I ask you how do you behave when you are in difficulties and how you "ask" for Guidance (do you ask for Guidance?) ? Peace,
