that mumble tip on songwriting is actually helpful. I've been doing a lot. Just rumble random stuff then if you got your melodies then apply some actual lyrics. This is also helpful to turn loops into a song by finding out where to chop sounds like removing kicks or bass to emphasize a bar. This is my way of songwriting and compostion

That songwriting gem is the MOST IMPORTANT when making a song. U need the beat first then u mumble over it find the perfect flow for the beat and fill in the lyrics. So many rappers do this. Just mumble over the beat and find that melody
Huge gems right there, real tips and no filler, i could tell !

Finding new packs definitely help with beat block.

Great Video! Very dope tips

That was so helpful,thanks alot,new subscriber
Thanks for sharing
No laughing here. You can do the same trick with a lead melody on a instrument. I will sometimes program the rhythm of the melody first using just the root note of the key of the song/beat, then after creating the rhythm of the melody, go back and move each midi note to make the melody I hear. Putting down the rhythm of the lead melody (which all catchy melodies have) is really half the work. Remember, you can also record longer and short notes on the melody too. This is also so much easier than clicking in each note (if you're entering midi with a mouse or computer keyboard instead of playing piano keys), and it also keeps the feel of the midi instead of being hard on grid (avoid hard quantizing!). This technique is fantastic for those who record with drum pads/MPC, etc. After the lead melody is done, then go create /design the sound itself (don't sweat sound design until after the melody is written). This is a way to break up your songwriting into smaller parts over time.

Best tip for REALLY understanding what happens in melodies and chords and stuff is music theory. There are some great and short videos on KZread. I don’t play keys, but I can fake em because I know my theory

Add more stuff to your loop or change some stuff and eventually it will become a full song
@ksmnkss

just download a song you like that's similar to what you're trying to make, put it into the playlist and copy its arrangement. if your beat has 3 melodies, bass, kick, hihat and snare you'll find dozens of great songs that also do. just copy it. that'll help you understand how you can create nice transitions in songs
@kappahblessing1654

@@kelsey7343 if you already have a loop you have a whole song, just breakdown the loop. pick an element that can start and build up to the loop and more stuff like fx etc to make it sound dope hope i was helpful.

“Nobody’s gonna here you” * 20k views *
i make good beats i feel like i’m just a natural at it , but only issue is i can’t capitalize on that talent & push forward to finish the beats i make , i struggle with arrangement and variety throughout the beat ... obviously i gotta practice and listen to music more and try to duplicate it in some sense , but damn it’s a struggle , resistance is a bitch :/
