Nah. You can leave your cars anywhere. There are Mercedes and BMWs parked everywhere. In fact the more expensive the car the less likely someone will try.

Every parking on google maps had at least few comments about robberies. I based my knowledge on that in regards of Skopje but parked everywhere in Ohrid and Lake Ohrid with no problems but ohrid will be in a video comming today. Thanks for the comment as it changes my opinion on that subject.

@@TheOneStepFurtherIt doesn't hurt to be safe. If you have foreign plates, maybeeeee it will increase the chance. Next time you are around have a look, there's a lot of expensive cars left in iffy places and there doesn't seem to be too many broken windows or issues. Have fun.

MonuMENTAL Skopje-that is brilliant :))). Modern Macedonians are historically ethnic Bulgarians. The paradox of the situation with Greece is that the Greeks actively in the past imposed the thesis that the Slavs in Macedonia were Slavonized ancient Macedonians in order to separate them from Bulgaria and assimilate them. Modern Greece is reaping the bitter fruits of its own propaganda from the past. The Greek propaganda was realized, but instead of becoming Greek, the Slavs in Macedonia want now their ancient Macedonian lands :))). The funny thing is that even today Greece refuses to recognize that these people are Bulgarians and speak Bulgarian. Most Greek historians admit it, but at the political level they talk about Slavs (it is not clear what these Slavs are). To make the story truly Balkan, these people during yugoslav communism falsified 1400 years of history of the Buglars and rewrote it as Macedonian and now make territorial claims to Bulgaria. Bulgaria blocked them for the EU with a request to remove the falsifications, but the Macedonians stubbornly claim that they have the right to read their history as they want :))). Thus, in Skopje you can see statues of medieval Bulgarian kings who are presented as Macedonian king - you will not read about Macedonian kings anywhere in Western literature, because such a thing does not exist in history. North Macedonia is the North Korea of the Balkans.

@@TheOneStepFurther The subject is broad and deep. Most tourists do not think about why they have so many monuments in a modern European capital. Even less do they think about why the buildings, including the communist ones, were redone in the baroque style - North Macedonia claims to have created the baroque, the white race that started from them and reached the Sea of Japan, they have created Christianity, and the Cyrillic alphabet - and this is not at all a joke. If you had visited the National Museum of History you would have been shocked :))). A few years ago they invited a Pakistani family from the Hunzi tribe and declared them ancient Macedonians, with whom they were of the same blood. The Hunza also claimed to be the successors of Alexander the Great. The problem was that the Pakistanis were dark-skinned and the racism among the Macedonians failed this epoch-making historical discovery about the roots of these people. They have already abandoned the ancient fictions with Macedonia after pressure from Greece and even changed their name to North Macedonia. Now, in order to enter the EU, they must recognize the Bulgarian roots of this population. Bulgarians were literally banned by law in Yugoslavia and were systematically massacred and erased from history. Yesterday, the media reported that Macedonian customs officials had again confiscated Bulgarian literature. 21 century in Europe is forbidden to be read in Bulgarian in this country. Serbia also confiscate bulgarian literature :)))). No bulgarians are allowed in these contrives. Last year, with full parliamentary unanimity, Bulgarian cultural clubs were banned in North Macedonia. The members of one of the clubs were brutally beaten and the president of Bulgaria had to send the presidential plane to transport one of the member of this club to a Bulgarian hospital - the doctors in North Macedonia refused to treat the 21-year-old boy because he is Bulgarian. The other Bulgarian club was set on fire by a famous Macedonian singer. The singer was awarded to sing at Christmas on national television on North Macedonia. At the last Eurovision, the representative of North Macedonia, days before the start of the contest, shared on a YT interview with that he has Bulgarian citizenship because his grandmother was Bulgarian. The politicians formed a commission to end his participation because a Bulgarian cannot represent Macedonia, and the singer received 400 death threats and had to leave the country and go back to Canada- he is canadian citizen too. The case even reached the reports of the European Commission. This country really is the North Korea of the Balkans.
