The building looked great. You should have done the sidewalk around it to really make it look new. Maybe even the stone retaining wall. Good job.

I actually offered to do it for free but they declined. as they are cleaning and repainting the roof, which will be very messy. they will be rehiring me to go round at a later date to clean the pathways and part of the car park.

I just did a pored brick building just like thus one and I used my turbo nozzle...I was hoping there is a chemical that can remove those black marks down the side of the building to make it easier.

Sodium Hypochlorite is great. It helps brighten things up. On this job it was just a case of do it the old fashioned way. I went back later and treated the bits under the shutters with degreaser.

@FazeMacros It varies from job to job, This particular job cost a little over £2000 as there were three buildings on site that needed to be cleaned, along with grafiti removal, windows cleaned, doors washed and a few other bits and bobs too.

altho it was a big job i think it would have turned out a bit better if you had paid more attention to under the windows and the last row of bricks on the building

This was the last building and after doing the other building i realised that these parts weren't going away. The staining in those parts looks to be grease runoff from where the shutters had been oiled. I went back at a later date with a hot machine and degreaser. Made absolutely no difference.

Always go from the top down... it looks great, and yea, it's the little things that make all the difference, I'd have also done that sidewalk, that moss and alge is a slip hazzard. It stands out like a sore thumb and looks unprofessional. Weed wacking would have also made a difference in the quality of your work and shown your integrity and pride in your work and reputation. That's how you get the referrals. Also, with corregated bricks like that, and well, anything really, you should do an after wash rinse down just to make sure dirt from one area doesn't get onto another cleaned area. You didn't get that pole that was sticking up out of the ground or behind it. That could have been something you forgot to go back and do but would have made a difference between amature and professional. The bottom of the bricks aren't as clean as they could be because you have to hit corregated bricks at a 90 degree angle, you have to bend down and hit them directly, not sort of angling the sprayer at them. They hold onto a lot of the dirt otherwise that could easily be sprayed off. And I noticed you did get down and do some of the bricks this way and they look really nice.

Thanks for the input. The pathways got cleaned at a later date. There was no point in doing them at the time as the roof was being cleaned and it would mean i would have to do them twice. I did the weed a quick weed whacking before this as some of the growth was over 6ft high.
