It’s not the greed. It’s the fraud.
Sad - a truly beautiful home. Maintenance costs would be tremendous.
It's crazy how some one could very likely pick this house up for 5 million bucks. What a come up!!
Both of my domestic cats have opined that they found the place revolting so I am forced to look further afield for another alternative residence for us three.
Justice would be the government turning this house into a new elderly care facility.the children's play set can stay for when they visit .extra rooms for family sleep overs and everybody's happy including the bank.

I see that, but I suppose the first duty is to the defrauded. Sell it for what you can get, and divvy up the proceeds. Not much, but every little helps.
I live in Wentzville but the street behind me is where Lake St Louis begins. I had no idea there was this kind of money around here.
I used to drive by that. I can believe it sits vacant.. most rich people are soooooo wasteful.

I also drive past it a few times. Nice house. My older brother is always like "I am gonna have a house like that someday"
If I bought this mansion or any one like it, I would have a life time of trouble trying to sell it. People who have money to burn have told me, keeping up with the maintenance of a mansion is alot of work. Keeping up with their homes they live in now is a lot of work. A neighbor across the street has kept a playhouse as a rent house. Fully operational and liveable.
Whose going to feed the fish?.
I'm amazed at most of the comments here. These brothers stole millions from poor, elderly, and in one case a lady with alzheimers who didn't even own a car. They aquired this massive wealth in selling extended vehicle warranties that didnt exist. They employed a thousand employees in the St. Louis area to sell these warranties thru aggressive sales tactics and lies. Yet the comments are about how beautiful these homes are. SMH

It is a Vanderbilt-cost mansion. If you have to ask, you can’t afford it. This place would need a well funded foundation with lots of capital producing a substantial yearly revenue to cover costs per annum. Of course, you get to be the big man in town. How large is your ego? ( I don’t say I’m much better than anyone else, but I don’t have the cash).

You are absolutely right. I worked in this industry because I was unemployed for 6 months and they were the only ones willing to hire me. I never knew It would threaten my life. I started in pre sales, made it to sales and failed over and over again cause I'm not heartless. A friend convinced me to give it another go when I was once again unemployed because there are no jobs in this area. They let me do saves. I made 4,000 dollars in one month and was very happy with the money. I kept getting the same phone call, I wanna cancel my policy. It was then my job to convince them that they really want to keep it. there were different levels of coverage. One would cover everything except maintenance, cosmetics, and wear and tear items. Then there were lesser levels depending on vehicle age and miles. Long story short I couldn't deal with having to live with is this right at the end of the day. Put that in the notes along with how my manager doesn't do anything but play spider solitaire all day and get paid for it. I ended up in a psych ward. I lost my relationship, House, Everything because I tried to do this job because there was nothing else available to me. This in our society is more respectable than growing marijuana and selling it to disabled veterans who fought wars for this country? That needs to change

Damn its cool to see big homes but most of us are trying to scrap by the little money we have. Plus those kids have bathrooms that are built like a little castle while there are others who may be homeless and/or go to bed hungry.

My cousins live right by this house! I saw it today!
Compared to large houses that have been built in recent years the first house shown here is, for the most part, and in my own opinion, in surprisingly good taste. I wonder if both of the houses could be divided into multiple homes. I would be happy to have a steady income that would allow me to afford a one-bedroom apartment and to live the rest of my life in that setting. Maybe a two-bedroom place so the second bedroom could a library...
I'd be scared to be alone in this house at night!
hope everyone is enjoying this

How big does it have to be, before the rich man are happy. It really is a shame, because a mansion like that can go into decay slowly. I have bin quite a lot around in England, and their old mansion's and castle's in decay, can really make me sad, because they have a long history and a great beauty. I visited an Bed and breakfast once from the 12oo century, with a stopped dog in the basement, sitting on a silkpillow in a glasscabinet, for about 300 year's, that is history and amazing buildknowledge, just going on and on. America is not old, but their history are not very charming.....
