I do both in the shower, I try to let the conditioner set in the beard for as long as I can while I finish showering. I haven't tried a leave in conditioner yet.

@@BeardMeThatBeer thanks! I wash my face twice daily so I wasn’t sure if that would mess with it if I did that after my shower or if I should apply afterwards right now my routine is shower use both wash and conditioner for the beard wash my face then apply oil!

@@psycull sounds like a solid routine. I only wash my face once but maybe I'll do some research and see if there's a beard shampoo that also acts as a face wash??

As a kit it's middle of the road for me. If you're into that sandalwood, I would say it's worth it. I also like Beardsley wash and conditioner kits they have some more diverse scents that I enjoy and cremo has some great products as well

@@BeardMeThatBeer I’ll look into that, I do see cremo product everywhere never tired it, I do cancel my order from jack black grooming kit after saw a bad review about it, but I did order some of their thickening shampoo and conditioner any experience with jack black product ?

I have not used Jack Black but I do plan to. It's on every top 10 list so I have to try it and see for myself

Viking Revolution sandalwood wash and conditioner were the first beard washes and conditioner l ever purchased. I thought it worked well but when I did a video about it I advised against purchasing it solely because it's made in China. My vet says don't by dog treats made in China because you can't trust the ingredients. Too many good American companies to mess with it.

This stuff sucks.
