35:16 - The face of Keeley Hawes realizing she underestimated Kevin Bridges 😂 The Bulgarian Horse story will always be my favorite moment on Wilty (together with Bob Mortimer's best bits).

I am hearing the horse story for the 2nd time and I am wheezing with laughter. 🤣 Again! Just watching David trying to get the facts straight ("...extortionate rate...") and Lee convulsed on the desk would almost have you believing it couldn't possibly be true. But good on him for sticking with it to the end. 😂 One of the funniest segments I've seen on WILTY. 😆

27:47 Probably the greatest story in the history of the show. Kevin Bridges clearly went to the Bob Mortimer school of lying - turn the story into absolute chaos and they will never believe it

I've seen every episode of WILTY and the Kevin Bridges buying a horse story is probably my favourite single story of the whole show. But Bob Mortimer is probably the best guest, just a wild ride every time he's on.

I remember Standard Fireworks, they were the best brand. And the excitement around early to mid October, in the 1950s, when someone excitedly said, They've got bangers (exploding fireworks, firecrackers, beloved of boys then) in the local shop. Fireworks could only legally be sold about a month before November 5th, Bonfire or Guy Fawkes' Night. Great memories.

I remember buying a Roman Candle from our local papershop, then I went back to buy another one and the woman told me, "I can't sell you one of those, you're too young!" I said, "But you sold me one this morning", and she told me to be quiet about that, and sold me another one to make me go away! lol On another occasion, I gave myself a minor electric shock when I tried to light a sparkler off of a bar on our electric fire! I remember the pain shooting up my arm and my hand going numb, then me immediately looking around to make sure nobody had seen me, feeling stupid and sheepish, fully understanding what I'd done wrong and why. lol I was about nine or ten years old, I guess!

I crushed a few vertebrae in my neck and didn't know it for eleven years. Started getting massive headaches, went to a doctor for an x-ray, and he asked when I broke my neck. I fell off a fifteen foot high cliff while running through the woods in the dark while drunk. I couldn't turn my head for about three weeks, and still went to work the next day. My dumb a$s was nineteen, and I should have been in a hospital but, like most of us, I thought I would be fine lol. It hurts like hell in the rain and cold now that I'm 54 lolol

With a sarcastic pointed look. I saw the clip once and now haven't bren able to find it for weeks and weeks. Do you happen to know which one?

I remember *Standard* fireworks. They were reliably disappointing. But kids could buy them from unscrupulous newsagents in the 1970s.

Yes, at 1:26:15, that is in fact Lee making a reference to a Dolly Parton song to riff on Cariad's American Southerner impression. The man's wit is next-level.

Ronny Corbet is just amazing. I'm not sure any of the new crowd could have the studio in stitches by pretending they can't get their glasses on properly.

You can totally make toast by ironing the bread. I've done it a few times in hotel rooms when I don't feel like going out again in the evenings, especially if I'm travelling alone. But it takes quite a bit of time to do a good job on pita bread, for instance, definitely not something you can do in the morning when you're in a hurry.

He is a master of his craft! a tour de force and his message has connected with so many folks across the globe. I wish hope on your recovery Nancy!

I was enjoying the margarita mishap story, but I couldn't quite remember the name of the good looking guy telling it. I knew he was a glam rocker in the 80s, though. I even remembered Spandau Ballet. I felt pretty good about that. (Martin Kemp.)
