Did they resolve the cylinder head defect?

The GLB35 is, legally, a midsized station wagon, not an SUV. When you think of it as a wagon with 0.5" more ride height it all makes sense.

GLB is a family 7 seater suv why do you need a v8?

Yup. Too much plastic and that metal coated plastic. Not very luxurious.
