I love that Oscar I’ve used to have 2 or 3 in my 20 gallon tank when I was a kid. When they grew too big they would go into the 65 gallon in the living room

I love my guppies, I started with just 2 females and one male and they started breeding like crazy now I have a bunch. you can see them on my channel

Neons, cpds or galaxy emerald rasbora's are my go too.

I have a school of flame tetras and corydoras. I’d highly recommend this for anyone interested in new ideas for fish especially to beginners. There easy, clean, peaceful and brighten up the tank. I’ve had guppies before and it was hard because they repopulated like crazy, had a beta (couldn’t add many other fish) and I’ve had a couple snails (also repopulate like crazy) and lastly I had a couple frogs (they tend to jump) which is fine if you have a lid. Think I’m gonna upgrade my tank to a bigger one soon so I can get a bigger school and more space.

Neon Tetras are nice i love them but one of the hardest fish to keep without spreading diseaseand orher things. I been in the fish game for 12 years now if you get neons take the extra step to quarantine them and keep theor stress lvl down as much as possible. Good luck fish are friends not food lol

My favorite school of fish is regular neon tetras and black neon tetra together schooling as one species💯🐠💙🔥

Tetras are amazing!

This man knows his stuff. Always go for the smaller fish with a bigger school, the difference is night and day between a school of 6 and a school of 60.

Depends what kind of bird we're talking about here......if I see an Bald Eagle that is way more majestic then a Canadian goose. It really depends what type of tank you want, I can make an awesome tank centered around 1 fish assuming its an eye catching fish.

So true! I love my betta only tank. His vibrant colour and flowing fins contrast so well with the natural tank and black backdrop. A school would just distract me from his beauty. Maybe some day I’ll get a bigger tank, so I can make it a healthy community, but for now he’s all the beauty I need.

​@@sakuranakamura1814depends on the betta's individual temperament. I have one in a planted community tank with a school of cardinals and they have no issues with each other. A bit of chasing on both ends the first day as the betta was added last (works best when it's not his territory being "invaded") but there was no flaring on his part, more curiosity (the way he side eyes the mystery snails is hilarious, he can't start to phantom what those things are 😂😂😂)

@@catlady9123 oh ok! My first pet was a blue beta named Jarvis, and he chased pretty much everything. He was very aggressive towards other fish.

I think a great aquarium set up has a couple different schools of different species of fish, and then a few bigger oddball fish that really stand out

Very true indeed, my 9 neon tetra is skittish whenever theres a movement. But after I add 1 female guppy their behaviour changed. The guppy befriend the tetras, swim with them & guppy's top-middle behaviour convinced the tetras that it is safe.

Love my schooling fish but I miss my big ass Oscar daily. Ollie was a real one. Big boy survived an self unaliving attempt. Found his silly self on floor in morning assumed worst he flopped once weakly I flew into action lived another year and half with me before my ex sold my tanks and my buddy... hope he had a good life after me. Best fish ever

If your fish breed in the same tank you should you keep it together or not

You had praecox rainbows in 1 shot that i saw. Question..I've got 10 praecox rainbows in a 55g community tank...7 females 3 males. Nothing is wrong and they seem happy and theyre voracious eaters. The question is i was at a pet store today for some cat stuff. I waa looking at some very very small praecox and this employee asks if he could help and i was telling him that they were very small and thatvi have 10 of them. The guy almost has a cow telling me that praecox rainbows need at least a 75g. Ive never heard that. Its not a crowded tank and its very peaceful. Ive hsd them over a year. Do you think 55g is too small for praecox rainbows?

Just make sure you have an aquarium to accommodate the size and the amount of fish you have.

They use to have a human zoo. I wish they bring it back. A school of human would be interesting to watch to see how they live, eat, poop and sleep

I don’t like tetras, they are pretty boring, I had a school of 5 and all they did was “thrusting” like a jet ski making small moves around. It’s boring to see I had them in a 16 gallon tank they just thrust around. They don’t swim

Sometimes neon tetra an some others (in my experience) do the same thing most times is been (10-55 gallons) my best knowledge guess is that the a comfortable in the aquarium . I have even seen my breeders start to do this when protecting eggs . . Or they don’t really like the aquarium due to aquascape and or water quality is good enough . That or it’s been to small of “schools “ 10-50 fish . Then again I’ve seen a lot of fish an watched a lot of aquatic life for hours on in … it could just be a dumb fish 😂 forgot how to swim or something .. 😅 nah but I hope this helps you some ! shrimp are wicked delicate, 5 gal is perfect for a betta and nothing else (as in, no other fish with the betta in a 5 gal), you can make it planted with some anubias and itd look gorgeous. You could get guppies instead but could only keep 3-4 in a tank like that and would wanna ensure they dont breed (only females/only males). Betta is your best option unless you wanted a snail only tank (or shrimp, but they are sensitive buggers. if you want advice on shrimp lmk)

@feferi6848 I have planted it(obviously they deserve best treatment)I decided to put 4ramshorns(2babies 2adults),1betta,and there is a shrimp ...it's been 2days and the betta hasn't messed with anyone I would like to have more shrimp tho any advice for shrimp would be nice

I have guppies and endler’s. They are not good dithering dish because they are annoying. Especially at eating time. They will swim right up to my Raphael catfish & take food out of his mouth- they also do this to my betta - they now better than do this with my golden wonder killifishes or knite goby- cus the guppies would end up a snax. My 3 Raphael’s spend their lives hiding from thier annoying neighbors. One day I’ll Be absolutely le to provide better dither fish- anyone want some guppies?
