3 Ways to Get From Prague Airport to Prague City Center Without Being TRICKED 🛑

Are you planning a trip to Prague and wondering how to get from the airport to the city center? Look no further! In this guide, we will show you the best and most affordable options for getting from Prague Airport to the city center.
There are several ways to get from the airport to the city, depending on your preferences and budget. One option is to take a Bolt or Uber taxi directly from Prague Terminal 1 or Prague Terminal 2. This is a convenient and relatively cheap option, especially if you are traveling in a group. Simply book your ride through the Bolt or Uber app, and you'll be on your way to your destination in no time.
Another option is to use public transport. The bus 119 runs from the airport through Nadrazi Veleslavin and can be caught at either Terminal 1 or Terminal 2. You can also take the Prague Airport express AE bus, which goes directly to Prague Hlavni Nadrazi Train Station. If you prefer the Metro, you can catch it at Nadrazi Veleslavin and get off at Prague Old Town Square. To use these options, you'll need to purchase tickets from the machines located by the airport.
Regardless of which option you choose, be sure to validate your ticket when using public transport in Prague. This is important to avoid being fined.
In this guide, we'll show you step-by-step how to book a Bolt or Uber taxi, or how to buy tickets for the bus or Metro. With these tips, you'll be able to easily and affordably get from Prague Airport to the city center. So sit back, relax, and let us take the stress out of your journey to Prague.

    The Airport Express bus is now running again! Buy your ticket at the Prague Airport Ticket desk. If you are in Prague city Centre you can buy it at Hlavni Nadrazi (Main train station ticket desk), as the bus leaves from there

  • @NashTereza

    @NashTereza

    3 жыл бұрын

    In many places in Prague there are machines, some buses also have machines for card built in. And easiest is to send a text to number: 90206 in form “DPT24” (for 30mins) or “DPT32” (90mins) and it works as electronic ticket. In Brno it is unfortunately cash mostly

    It is not the best place to change currency. Better to do it in the city eg. eXchange , Kaprova 14/13, 110 00 Josefov (by the old town) & you can usually pay for transport by a bank card

    @@nacermohamed454 This system is in most of former communistic countries where public transportation systems were united to one system. In the west, you had different company for metro, for trams, for buses etc...so they skipped simple paper time tickets and went directly to digital era from their old messy systems. Also many countries still have old system where you just drop some coin when you enter vehicle, that's really retro for us. Honestly, I don't like super modern ticket systems, it's confusing and complicated, you have some barriers in metro etc....it's directly against concept of simple and fast public transportation, I hope Prague will never adopt such system. I can't imagine beeping with some card constantly when I want enter metro or train, I saw it in other countries and I don't want it. Most of Praguers have month or year pass, so they are just traveling and don't care about some tickets or validating, that's how should public transportation work - no barriers, just hop on and hop off without any stress.

    Do we need to pay tickets to kids under 7?

  • @NashTereza

    @NashTereza

    Жыл бұрын

    *According to Prague transport department, its free for kids under 15 as long as you have ID * - www.dpp.cz/en/fares/fare-pricelist#1-2 For children ages 6 -10, there is no age verification requirement for free public transport except for travel on PID trains in zones P, O and B. Here, age can be verified by any ID card issued by a school, another carrier outside of the PID system or a card issued by the state administration or another legal entity (verified by a stamp or other significant symbols of the issuer) - for example, a plasticized photo ID issued by a legal entity giving the child’s first and last name and date of birth.
