We don’t entirely know if the guy they saw had recently broken into the house or had been living there for a while. Also, it isn’t considered “breaking and entering” since they didn’t break/crack anything to get into the place, rather it was left unlocked (I think the family had a loose lock or something). It would be considered trespassing/invasion of privacy.

Baron von Stubby I think the guy was a squatter. If he was a bugler he could’ve easily left the kids and wouldn’t have hid in a closet. He hid in the closet because he didn’t want the kids know he was there or something. Most house burglars always make sure there are two entrances and exits on different sides of the house so if someone comes home they can get out. He might’ve been living in the attic and the girls closet had a crawspace that he climbed through. Point is, it’s not safe to assume he’s a burglar

The only reason the homeowner in the second story didn't press charges was twofold: They were known to each other and the fact that there was someone hiding in the homeowner's daughter's closet. Had OP not broken in, the guy in the closet would've gone unnoticed.

One time my car was stuck in the snow and I had this fear someone was going to come out and attack me, I forgot about my pocket knife I always carry and I was looking through my car for anything I could use as a weapon. People get stupid when they get really scared.

The first story happened EXACTLY to me and my friends when staying at a beach house in north carolina. There was a room that was locked from the inside, we think someone had been hiding in our beach house and living in it / partying in it when we weren't home / were on the beach. They're expensive to rent, private beach area, and sit empty for most of the off-season year, so it might be a common occurrence for people to squat in them.

It’s highly unusual for those houses to not have a solid alarm system directly patched into PD & usually even surveillance & security regularly checking on things. Many also have property caretakers who are the person to call with any concerns/ mishaps.

Lol imagine if someone breaks in their crush's house and gets killed by someone who had broken in before them and after all that their crush will be like: Is that Sam? Why is he dead?

A friend of mine who I've known since I was a kid went to this cabin resort in the mountains with his family a few years ago and when the woman in the information office gave them their keys to the cabin, my friend Carl went inside the cabin to make sure there was nobody inside the cabin, due to the possibility of a group of prowlers stalking people at night. He searched the whole cabin, it was empty and clean. So he told his wife and 3 children to come on into the cabin. It was a beautiful cabin from the pictures I've seen. 2 story, 7 bedrooms with a bathroom in each one. Luckily, they didn't have any problems at all. They didn't have encounters with any prowlers or any suspicious persons. About a week after they got home from their trip, Carl saw on TV that 3 or 4 people dressed as clowns were arrested for prowling a residential area near the cabin resort they were at.

Listening to every story and watching every Ad because this guy deserves it.

In the 1st story all I kept on thinking was what would have happened if he hadn’t jumped out of bed and locked the door when he did. For one he wouldn’t have knocked, the gf wouldn’t have woken up right away , and he’d already be in the room. I know for a fact whenever I hear something suspicious I stay frozen in fear, so that’s why I’m terrified to ever be in a situation like this 😬

I found some pretty amazing channels from this one 🤗

I was a teen camp counselor at an two week overnight YMCA camp in a remote area. I was shocked at how many of the counselors ditched their campers alone in the cabin to party all night. They drank, smoked weed, and made out all night. Decided to never send my kids to a sleepaway camp.

I love Mr. Nightmare purely for the fact of his amazing narration and the fact that 80% of the stories are all realistic. Not really a big fan of the Paranormal stuff (like spirits, ghosts, etc.) so it's amazing to see someone do this kind of content

So in the 2nd story he turned himself in, but his friend didn’t, and he didn’t snitch on his friend either. That’s honestly very nice.
