@@slickmuck4312U guys were great during Coof, and in the Netherlands. Our truckers tried something similar in the States but somehow the “most popular president ever’s” admin managed to squelch it and shut it down, I think, cuz there was no coverage of it, even on sosh media. Least not that I saw. Wonder what happened. Anyways, cheers!

My dad almost died, his load jackknifed and he had a split second decision to go over a bridge and potentially die with his dog, or allow that to jackknifed and possibly kill the cars behind it. I’m so sorry for your loss, but he didn’t die in vain and that’s what matters💖

I was a OTR trucker thru all lower 48 and into Canada, hauled frozen/refrigerated and Dry Van . 16 years , most scared I ever felt was in Wyoming it was winter and around 2am I pulled up into a rest area only 2 were there a nice Peterbuilt running and a black hatch back car, I hurried to the ladies … while I sat down I hear a chain saw fire up just on the other side of the wall at that point I felt fear like I have never felt b4 I didn’t flush but quietly got outa there because I knew no reason anyone would be using a chainsaw, I got into my truck and looked at the Peterbuilt and the black hatch back car, I called 911 told them to please get out there as something was going on and I was scared and getting out of there. Next morning I saw on news where a old couple who husband drove the Peterbuilt were disembodied no person arrested I wish I had taken a pic of the black car and Peterbuilt but I was terrified and just wanted to get away. I don’t know if that poor couple ever got their case solved I sure hope they did.

I drove in Utah during the winter of '83 when it snowed so much that they couldn't keep the roads clear. One time I was sliding and jack-knifing down a steep mountain road with a 1000 ft. cliff on the drivers side. The truck driver ahead of me was also sliding and jumped out of his truck ( double trailer coal ) before it went over the cliff, while I somehow kept my truck on the road. This was far more frieghtening than dealing with any psycho ( my 2 best friends, Smith and Wesson, keep me safe ).

Regarding the first story, my son is a trucker. He's had a couple of instances where he was parked in a secluded spot and noticed suspicious people around. Did he wait 45 minutes? No. Did he go back to sleep? No. He did the logical thing and left right away. That's why that story makes me suspicious that it's fiction. And when the guy is telling this trucker all his disgusting fantasies about him, why doesn't he drive away?

The only time I ever hitchhiked was in the late 70s with my then-girlfriend-- New England. No problem, back then. Later, I picked up 2 or 3 hitchhikers in the 80s, one guy whose car had broken down on his way to work. I took him all the way to his factory. He was so glad.

I'm a trucker enjoying these stories. Just began trucking 6 years ago. Im praying our dangerous jobs will motivate people to write for more funds to go to the drivers instead of Brokers. I was getting paid $900 and the broker was getting $2,500. Its a shame what I've been hearing and seeing since all this can be done on a keyboard....and doesn't need a 3rd person to skim money off a good drivers pay.
