Most people will prefer longer vlogs, that is if they really enjoy the content. The bigger challenge is to make shorter ones that despite its length, viewers will get satisfied. Of course most people will say that you should have made it longer, but the obstacle in making long ones is getting rid of boredom factor.

partly, because I prefer shorter vlogs. I'm used to making long films and documentaries, so I decided to try vlogging, but just short ones, to make ideas and messages compacted and solid. :)

I love the lenght of the vlogs like this. Remember that we watch these for you both, for your stories, interactions etc, not just for the pretty landscapes and city views!

Length of vlog: Casey vlogs hardly ever went over 12 minutes. Jon, you should focus on tight editing to keep the content entertaining. If it's just you walking around and talking on the same topic for minutes at a time then in a few weeks/months people will get bored and slowly stop watching you. Right now you have a lot of very engaged fans who of course will cry out for longer vlogs because right now you are popular but they will be the first to drift away to another more fun channel if you aim for longer vlogs and can't keep them entertaining from start to finish.

Jon you've been killing it lately! Your editing has been on point, and I feel like your narrative is coming across nicely. The length has been decent, but I know that no one would complain if they were longer! 14-20 minute vlogs are great.

10-18 minutes vlogs are great! When it starts to get to ~20 minutes length, I start to view it as too much time because it seems like a normal length television show. Great job! Love the vlogs! Keep them 10-15 minutes and I'll keep wanting more ;)

I think that once the rolls has a wrap and exhaust you might change your mind! The rolls is super comfortable, but the thing it's lacking is the "wow factor". Not many people get excited when they see a Rolls compared to a Lamborghini, Ferrari, McLaren, etc...

the vlogs length is perfect! 10-15min is perfect, you get good entertainment but you still have the feeling you haven't wasted 40min of your life and you can enjoy all of it!

I think anywhere between 10 and 20 minutes is a good length for the vlogs, and the more variety and/or crazy content you have then of course longer vlogs so we can see it all! Can't wait to see the Rolls too!

The vlogs are the perfect length. They show what you do with enough detail, but aren't so long that I get bored.

12-20 minutes depending on the content!

Length? Anything over 10 minutes I consider an episode. If they are short, like about ten minutes, it keeps you wanting more. If they are over 15 or up to 20 minutes, you get saturated as a viewer and it's easy to skip a few. With about 10 minutes or 12 minutes each, catching up a couple over the weekend doesn't feel like a chore.

having enough for a full tv episode is great, but editing it down to a dozen of minutes is where the power of editing lies and keeps an episode in the form of a vlog exciting and user engagement high. I am not saying I wouldn't mind a few exceptions here and there of say 40 or 60 minute vlogs.

Back in LA they told us who was going to be the next person apart of Team Overkill when they had that German photographer over; but setting up a date for that person's trial week is probably a pain with scheduling conflicts etc. It was the kid with all the crazy after effects in his videos who's first in line for next member of Team Overkill.

I think the lenght of the vlogg is good! Could be longer but having it as it is now makes you want so see a bit more then what we get too and that starts an exitement for the vlogg the next day. And thats the key to keep viewers to come back!And the content is good to me because you could get bored if its to detailed. Its more like a short film vlogg and thats what i like about it!

I love the vlogs but what makes me excited are the slow-mo's.. You should do more of them but I don't really mind thr length of it now, it makes my day when I watch your vlogs!!!

I think 15 minutes is like a perfect vlog length, but if you could throw in the occasional 30-minute vlog if you feel you are doing something particularly epic! Always love the LA vlogs!

I think the vlog is really good. Maybe sometimes it can get a bit long but that's only when you are relaxing and i can understand that. I love watching your vlogs!

The length are good not to short not to long, a shorter video one day and next a bit longer makes it good. It's just nice to sit down and relax to a vlog and not haft to change video after 5min.. Keep up the good work Jon!

10-15 minutes. Shorter than 10 min and you won't be able to tell the story of the day. Longer than 15 min gets boring and you have to make special time to watch them. 10-15 is perfect.

Looking through the comments I didn't find a single one that's actually giving Jon the feedback about the length of the Vlog that he asked for, so here we go: Personally I prefer the longer Vlogs if the footage has some sort of variety. But If you're skiing down a mountain I don't really need 40min of that. Also it's important to say that if you're feeling like a longer Vlog would be too much of an additional workload, which might lower the quality of it, then don't go for length, quality > quantity! Hope this helps, stay awesome :)

The vlogs are amazing Jon! In my opinion it should be around 15-20

The 15 minute mark is the sweet spot for the vlogs I reckon, as it's long enough to get good content, while short enough to feel punchy and to squeeze in before work in the morning.

The length is super, and i think it is good that the length is different on every Vlog, because you may do more one day and less other days. So it should depend on what you're doing each day. But a length between 10 and 20 minutes are good! Awesome Vlogging btw!

Around the 15 minute mark is perfect for the vlogs like todays and yesterdays. But maybe throw in a few 20 - 25 minute ones when those epic days roll around like pow day in Japan. And when you feel like a chill day, the Q&A vlogs around the 30 minute mark is fine as well.
