Your video's are top notch. Although I am not a "target" shooter with a high end bow (I'm a hunter with a Diamond Infinite Edge), I have learned a lot about form, posture, back tension, etc. from your channel. Please keep them coming. I just shot my first "tournament" and took second place (missed out on first by 4 points) in an NFAA 900 round. I attribute my improvement to you and your channel.

I assumed that the loop height is determined by adjusting the center shot of the arrow and bow. Adjusting the limb bolts is something I need to try.

Robert, thanks for the vids. I tried this test and I noticed an improvement. If I backed out the bottom limb 1/4 turn, how much would I raise the d loop by to achieve the same results. What would be a good starting place?

You'll need to have the bubble levels like in the video to know for sure. You'll want to make the level on the arrow have the bubble in the middle and then set the bottom limb bolt back to flush and tie on a new d loop with the arrow level. That'll put it in the same position as it was with the limb bolt backed out.

Hi I shoot with two releases tru-ball HBC and Carter target 4, when I shoot with the HBC I can aim in the gold fine at 55 yards but with the Carter target 4 my aim likes to settle at the 8 ring 6 o'clock any advice thx

It sounds like with a trigger you have some anticipation going on and you're freezing low trying to see the middle instead of trusting your shot and focusing on consistently aiming and floating around the center with the hinge. Personally I would stay with your hinge if you're having better results with it. If you're wanting to use the thumb button you'll need to work up close with it to start with. 2-3 yards away at first and then work your way back as you're able to calm the anxiety response. Here's an article I wrote with some drills for it: rcrchery.wordpress.com/2016/05/01/beating-target-panic-drills/

Might be a little bit of adjustment to the cams you could make. Mathews have zero nock travel engineered into them, versus a Hoyt with the nock coming up as it's drawn back. You may find that slowing the bottom cam will help it perform better with a nock level set up.

I run zero weight up front it’s all in the back has to be that way cause if I run any weight up front I can’t hold it up

Would love if you utilized a shotgun mic, or a lavalier mic clipped on your shirt to clean up the audio :)

I'd love to be able to as well but my camera doesn't accept a mic. When I was first getting into this I had no idea about that feature so when I purchased the camera I overlooked it. It would make things a lot better for sure!

rcrchery Stinks when you find out stuff like that later! You can use a lav with a 3.5mm plug to record on your smartphone, or something like a Tascam DR-05 or Zoom H1 and then marry the audio file with the video track before you cut it up in editing. A couple of extra steps but nothing too substantial aside from mating the two tracks. Take a look at it, I think it could really raise the production value with minimal expense. Thanks for the tips!
