Thats great. I just received the same clamp and one insert too small and the other too big. I'll definitely try this
Great Tips, I applied the Rubber sheet and double-sided tape to only one half of the inner o clamp and worked perfectly :).

What side thread is the side screw you installed?

The horizontal bolt is 3/8". The vertical bolt is 1/4".
