@@StarStuffYT it would lag out the quest because usually on pcvr how it works is that it is handling both screens at once, and can handle it. Quest 2 is already laggy as it is, so it would probably crash instantly

The stupid thing is that (this is going to sound really nerdy,) when they integrated the meta/oculus package into rec room, there is a feature where you can connect a script to an object with a camera. With that script, it allows you to press a button in-game and it will record. Then it will save to your headset's downloads folder. So I don't understand why they didn't do that.

Fun fact I’m horizon worlds there is a streamer cam but unlike the streamer cam this one records from the camera it’s self and uploads it to your headset

last time i was on pcvr, the community board, yt rendered the video on the board, also why are there tos, privacy policy etc buttons if they arent supported on quest 2?

I don’t get the crescendo part because we have bonelab and other games that are pretty detailed but we can’t run a rec room quest for some reason and yeah sure it might take a while to get optimized but atleast have a team working on optimizing it and then a team working on new updates for rec room as a whole. (But am not sure how this stuff works so don’t get mad at me)

i know this video is already old but i think the reason that the quest 2 doesn't have the streamer cam is due to hardware pico 4 has better ram so it's able to handle the streamer cam also the streamer cam would need to render it's own screen to see stuff i don't think that needs explaining so the quest 2 would have to render both the quest 2 and the streamer cam and already sometimes ingame the quest 2 lags so it would be insanely laggy for the quest 2 with both active

as a quest 2 player on recroom for like 2-3 years, i can say these are everything i want, whats the problem of streamer cam being disabled on quest 2? its not gonna lag our quest 2 like if cresendo was on quest 2

i can agree with all of this, but... -with v50 the quest 2 has the capability to open a browser mid-game BUT some assets of the community board will NOT be there -streamer cam is never coming to quest 2 or quest 3 cry about it -crescendo will POSSIBLY come to quest 2 with v51 with hardware update increases in GPU power, and will DEFINITELY (im like 85% sure) it will come to quest 3.

they need to add an option to change graphics quality cuz my game runs awfully

motion sickless approch is to go the vrchat route by using a phone or computer to do stuff that is impossible on standalone

and since streamer cams lag pcvr players so much, they should make the device that is getting the footage render the scene as well

The streamer cam is on the pico 4 and it has only 1 camera
