Gotta love Gaijin's logic for the Maus. "We're removing it because it's at 7.7, where it dominates in 6.7 and suffers in 8.7. We can't reduce the maximum up/down-tier range, because that would make too much sense, so instead we'll say it's impossible to balance and take it out of the tech tree. Oh, and we'll reintroduce it for events because apparently that doesn't count as unbalanced."

​@@ODST_Parker I tried grinding Sweden few days ago. For some peculiar reason for 6.3 I always ended up in 7.3 games, for 7.3 it was 8.3 consistently. So every time this happened I just took out the BT-42.

the only real reason why they removed it is because back then when they introduced it, they weren't as greedy as they are now. They realised that with a Maus you can make tons of money so they deleted it from the regular techtree and only made it available at events where you have to grind your sould out to get it.

One Panther II chassis was completed and eventually captured by the U.S. it was displayed at the Patton Museum in Fort Knox until 2010. It has since been moved to the National Armor and Cavalry Museum at Ft. Benning, GA. An Ausf G turret is mounted on this chassis. The Panther II was to be fitted with a new turret, the Turm Panther 2 (schmale Blendenausführung).

The 105 mm main gun was concidered for the Tiger II, but dismissed in a very early stage, so it's kinda a concept of the Tiger II, still.

Love mine, when it was still in the tech tree with Maus, i was quite a noob and your typical german player. I stopped playing for years and when i came back, i realised i was lucky to have both tanks partially researched and therefore available. I sadly didnt do the same for the Panther II, but the 105 Tiger is quite a beast, if you play it like a long-range TD.

The funny part about the FLAK 341 is that it got replaced by the Ostwind 2 which we have little to no proof of it's existence, except a document mentioning it going to a shooting range for testing near the end of the war :P ( I mentioned the kugelblitz but after some researches I found that 2 to 6 were made, so it's a legit vehicle, thx to the people who corrected me)

Would LOVE having a new or changed Panther II added back in as the real one! Would basically just be a 6,0 Panther really as it's got a bit more armour (also on turret I believe), slightly better engine, and a much bigger turret ring I believe, which would probably allow for a quicker reload! Glad you basically said that just after the intro! Not many people know about the real Panther II, thanks DOLLAR!

The real Panther II never existed and was designed to replace the Panther almost immediately after the Production Panther rolled out of the factory. It would just be a regular Panther with more hull armor and different transmission. A turret was designed but never produced. Basically a Panther II like in WT but with a Panther A engine and slightly different turret than on the Panther F. The main selling point would be the transmission since you’d get an actual reverse gear.

I was able to sneak in a few RPs on the 341 before it got removed and full research it later. Probably my best SPAA as CAS regularly think I’m an Oustwind II.

I like these vehicles the way they are. So if they bring them back, do it like they are(there are plenty of other fake vehicles ingame now), or make them separate versions.

Dollar that intro was GOAT, for a old school German main. I love my Panther II, its the whole reason I started playing WT. Also, once I destroyed an T-10M with my Coelian (Flakpanzer 341). Somehow one of my rounds angled down into the crew compartment after hitting the commander optics (I think anyway, maybe just a weird bug). But it was pretty great.

I have to say, the way you incorporate memes and whatnot into your videos is absolute masterclass for content creation.

Bro I'm so bummed that I didn't have the chance to research this lineup, I just started playing this game right when they were removed. I didn't think much of it at the time but I was still looking forward to this era in the German tech tree. What they could do is rotate the vehicles every year on Gajin's birthday instead of the same old unbalanced Maus. But for now I can only watch other ppl play it. One day. . . one day

These 37mm are just unforgiving the ennemy planes, and having armor to protect you from strafes is awesome one this anti air

Well if so and if that has an effect in all modes that explains why my AK-630 dusted on a FAB-5000 as I desperately expend 1000 shells onto it as the bartasd landed right next to me... (I survived somehow). ALARM!! ALARM!! Guardian Command: We see it, Have all guns firing on that thing..... WE can't let it hit!! BRRRT BRRRRT BRRRRRT BRRRRRRRT BOOM!! Nemesis Command: Guardian!!! I remember grinding out the Pzgr. Rot shell for the 105 KT, using the stock round was actual pain, it had less pen than the long 88 Of course with my luck, a couple months after that they removed the stock uncapped shell and made Rot the stock shell.

The Rot round is the stock, what are you on lol, Tiger 105 only have the PzGr.Rot, PzGr 40 and Sprgr. L/4.4 shells, you mistake it with the Dicker Max which have less pen than the long 88 either way

@@k_balu-8104 I have an old suggestion topic on the forums for making the tank more realistic and one of the points was to remove the 105 Pzgr. APHE because it made zero sense for the tank to have it. Next would be the APCR because that didn’t even exist. It still doesn’t have the correct 105mm Pzgr. 39 which was used in penetration trials for a high powered 105mm AT gun. Penetration should be the same as the 128mm. But with Gaijins penetration calculator and overpressure, the old Pzgr. Rot Shell would still be superior.

Shouldn't pretty much all of the Panthers and tigers above the H model have them. Granted the gaijin would actually have to make them accurate to WWII night vision. And it's not that good but better than nothing

sadly only have the Coelian, missed out on the Panther 2 and I heavily regret having put time into the British air tree which I could've put into the German ground tree to get the Panther 2 and Tiger 10,5cm

Honestly, the 341 is the best AA, it's got enough Armour to need cannons or bombs before it dies properly. HVARS and most other rockets don't have enough OOMPF to kill them with a splash and only bombs above 250lb or about 150kg can reliably kill it if you get close.

10:30 I refuse to accept that you just acknowledged that plane kill, which was also SIDEWAYS and not directly flying to you, and went on with the game as if that wasnt the most amazing kill someone can get.

And here i am, at 4 am watching Dollar instead of sleeping. Great XD

The Panther II is absolute gold! The rangefinder makes this thing so much fun because you almost never miss and it's so mobile. Sad I never got the Flakpanther... there is no way. you either had it researched or no point in it's research at all. at the moment they were removed I think I only had the tiger 2 105 researched, the rest of them I had only a few research points added. It was a year ago when I finished researching all of them 4, last one being panther 2. So those vehicles do stay in your account if you got even one RP on them.

The flakpanzer is my fun vehicle. Despite its low pen, it can demilitarise T34-85s from the front. I assume it just sneaks in past the turret ring and picks off crew with volume of fire because it sure can’t go through that much armour according to the stats. Plus planes assume I’m a wirby and try to strafe me but I have a fair amount of armour so I usually win the head ons that planes seem to do an awful lot.

I really hope they bring these back because I’m pretty bummed out I never got to research them, one can only dream..

ive watched enough Dollar vids now that im unconsciously quoting him mid game like "thats a dangerous cookie" and "you sneaky..."

I would like to have the Panther F with the KwK 44/2 which apparently added a magazine fed autoloader mechanism to the gun. I think that would be the most realistic evolution of the Panther after the F, even though not much is known about that gun and how it would fit in the turret.

Thank god I rushed my German tree when I heard they were removing these tanks, I had the 1st 2 panthers at the time, but I managed to spam research all the ones they were removing, and I got them
