3 STEPS TO ENCOURAGING A LAZY HORSE TO BE FORWARD| Most Common Mistake Beginners Make Part 3.

Спорт

How to not let our bodies get in the way of this success, and how to eventually string it all together with movements and lines!. She is also just coming back from injury of a broken pelvis!
In your dressage journey, no doubt you will encounter challenges in your training along the way. Your horse might be having problems with a particular exercise, you may need help with what to feed him... the list goes on.

I've had a huge breakthrough in riding my mare in 2pt. My horse has always worn me out trying to work up her energy. I now warm her up in 2 pt. She appreciates me getting off her back while she loosens up and works forward. This allows me the opportunity to work on so many other things we need. This really was a big problem that was easily solved but I had never thought to ride in 2 pt. Thank you! Thank you for all the things you are sharing with us!

The BEST episode by far!!! Thank you Alicia, all this information you are giving us and in a way that actually makes sense, it’s invaluable. Seeing the “mistakes” and how you can start fixing them in real time is soooo much helpful. Please keep this series going. I feel like can relate with Ash and I am learning so much watching you two work together. Great job, both of you!!

Omg. Massive well done Ash, this was incredible to watch. I think this has to top my favourite list of videos so far. No one has ever pointed out exactly how i could turn like that. I knew I was over using my inside rein, but didn't know how to be more effective without. I'm so excited to give these tips a go, I want to ditch work and run off and get on my horse 🤣 (I better not, I'll get fired lol). We have been struggling with right bend in particular, to the point that River will sometimes rear if you put too much pressure on. I can't express how motivated this makes me. Thank you both so much, you are amazing. Xx

Welldone Ash. You did so well. i had a go myself this morning. kept my feet as if they were on the floor and one flap like a duck and to start rising. Got a trot every attempt. Same when coming back from a two point canter. Back into trot straight away. Gave me a freerer trot after pushing the canter forwards. I also tried a the leg yeild and turning the head / shoulder and i got it, in a fashion not perfect but, it's a start. Thankyou so much Alicia, Ash and handsome Gee. xx

Wow this was so helpful for me especially with the bending! I would dream of a lesson on Gee! I’m hoping my young dressage horse -who I just broke in this summer myself, will turn out to be this amazing ! I’m an amature dressage rider only just beginning training elementary at home with my other new forest pony so it’s a huge achievement to have been able to break my young Warmblood myself and your videos came all at the right time because I have applied the things you have taught to her and it’s worked wonders! Like the leg yielding when they get a bit sticky, flapping and rising to get trot and not kicking etc. I hope to one day have an online or in person lesson with you as I’ve never understood things so clearly from an instructor 💕🎉 Thankyou Alicia (and tash as I’ve watched loads of your videos too!) and I can’t wait to keep learning from you to reach my goals with my young mare!

What a beautiful job your friend did ! Great coaching of course and so kind. Gee deff woke up when he realized what was up. Beautiful riding for an amateur trying super hard. A US GP.dressage rider says doing tonz of transitions -as you did - really perks a horse up as they don't know what to expect next so become more alert. 👍👍👏👏Well done you !!!

Well I just went out and ride my boy and don’t a lot of ‘gallop’ and after about 10 minutes of this exercise his trot had changed 100%! Thank you so much Alicia I’ve been searching for this answer for years! Now to use his new trot to help us in all other aspects and movements! YOU ARE AMAZING! and thank you for reminding me to never give up and to focus more on my riding which will in turn help my beautiful horses!

Ps The most beautiful dream in the world Alicia, to share horses like Gee, with less privileged riders!!! I just have so say too, your brain Alicia is so quick & you're so intuitive, to be able to dissect every movement, know what's going on to enhance or block the success & then give the blow by blow advice! The repetition in your commentary really works, & the "for your feeling" comments, great strategies!! Brilliant teacher Alicia - so in awe!! ❤ you, that you ❤ all this so much!! 🐎🥰🙏
