Thank you! Glad you found it usefull
Have you any experience with the xf50 f2 as a comparison? I'm torn between the xf and this sigma. The Fuji is more readily available in the UK used, so I'm leaning that way.

I am going to be honest. I have never shot with the Fujifilm 50mm. The 6mm difference is in focal length is quite significant in terms of view. Have you considered a used Fujifilm 56mm? Those are at a bargain on the used market now especially used in the UK is always value for money :)
i saw this available used recently for €270 but didn't buy it. I had the Viltrox 56mm and liked it but ended up selling it and putting the money towards the Sigma 18-50 instead. I don't have a 56mm at the moment bu might go for it at some point. Regarding the aperture ring, which the 18-50 also does not have, i found that i often forgot to change the f stop on a number of occasions but once i got used to it i now use the front dial on my Fuji XT3. The image quality is very good, some purple fringing in high contrast. But yeah i probably will pick up the Sigma 56mm at some point in the future. Thanks.

Thanks for sharing Des. The 18-50 i haven't tried yet. I should really to be honest overlooked that one as I have the 18-55 which has a variable aperture
I was surprised to find myself using the Sigma 56mm for landscapes too. It helps to isolate an interesting part of the landscape as wide lenses (like the Sigma 16mm) often show too much. Usually too much sky. :-)

That is indeed true. It does allow a narrow field of view :) and it is very sharp between F8& f11. Thanks for your sharing your experience

I am assuming you mean the camera and lens I shot this episode on? XT4 & 18-55mm with Classic Neg as the shooting Sim
How about viltrox 75mm f1.2 when compared to sigma 56??
@PaulTakesPhotos
4 ай бұрын
That is not the best comparison as the focal lengths are so different and it changes the compression. I have never shot with the 75mm viltrox but the reviews are positive. Sorry not to be of much help
