By this logic, I guess you must not be travelling in any automobiles in India. Because absolutely all automobiles have parts that have been imported. On a serious note, stop this nonsensical localisation bullshit in the name of patriotism. Other countries are more adept at making stuff than us at a lower cost and better quality. Accept that. Even if the Pixel starts being assembled in India, about 90% of its parts will still be imported. So how does it matter? After all, India has a lot of strengths, like textiles and agriculture. Pixel is a very good phone and really captures nice pictures and videos and has wonderful interface but the issues I faced is 1. Overheating within a year of usage 2. No dedicated service centers but it’s handled by 3rd party and service by them is not that great as they returned me the phone without any service and overheating issues 3. Low resale value for the premium price paid So considering all these you can make your decision to buy or not buy

I recently bought pixel 8 and yes it's Amazing with the photos , decent video quality . Only issue is it heats up but for standard user like me , It's not worrisome. Also the processor is fine. Some people commenting here doesn't even have those top notch phones (processors) who get to dislike Tensor. It does its job well. I mean if you want anything complex to be handled fast , then go get a PC or even if you are a gamer then get ASUS or something else . Samsung and IPhone and Google are better for user experience and have their own advantages. Google lacks behind in processing but it's stock android feeling is awesome. So in a nutshell , you wouldn't feel that you are lacking behind in anything because pixel does it's job well in day to day usage .

I have both iphone 12 mini and pixel..but to be Frank iphone beats pixel in both photos as well as videos easily. Pixel photos have low brightness and are only good for portrait shots.
4th Poor or worst after sale service.... All these years Google didn't even consider improving after sale service in India. 5th Kachada chipset. Do you think that poor chipset will last for 7 yrs .Instead of renamed Exynos they should have gone with 8th Gen 2 (over clocked). Then I think maybe most of the people gone with pixel .

Pixel is a very good phone and really captures nice pictures and videos and has wonderful interface but the issues I faced is 1. Overheating within a year of usage 2. No dedicated service centers but it’s handled by 3rd party and service by them is not that great as they returned me the phone without any service and overheating issues 3. Low resale value for the premium price paid So considering all these you can make your decision to buy or not buy

I recently bought pixel 8 and yes it's Amazing with the photos , decent video quality . Only issue is it heats up but for standard user like me , It's not worrisome. Also the processor is fine. Some people commenting here doesn't even have those top notch phones (processors) who get to dislike Tensor. It does its job well. I mean if you want anything complex to be handled fast , then go get a PC or even if you are a gamer then get ASUS or something else . Samsung and IPhone and Google are better for user experience and have their own advantages. Google lacks behind in processing but it's stock android feeling is awesome. So in a nutshell , you wouldn't feel that you are lacking behind in anything because pixel does it's job well in day to day usage .

Camera images looks like black and white. I had pixel 7A and most of the pics looks dull and colourless. Of course the contrast is good but not to the liking of everybody. Most people would prefer vibrant images.
