    if your clip is 120fps assumed in 24fps, you need to adjust the speed to 500% (not 400%) to make it real time... quick math - 24X500% or 24X5.0=120

    GREAT video and I got that far. I love option 3, but, when doing this, the audio gets off sync and I really want the music to match the video when I get up to 100% again. How on earth can you do that? Very much appreciate any support there! Like you did in the SLAP video in the beginning! That was awsome btw! :-)

    nice thank you... but what if we have an 24/25 fps footage and want to slow down ? I know the concept behind 120fps..when you have an 120 fps you can do everything..but when you have an 25 or 30fps footage what is the proper way (with less artifacts) to slow down ??? (probably there will be some artifacts since there is no info but what if we definetely need to slow down ??)

    Great tutorial. Cheers, Robbie. Questions: How do you then use this slow-mo clip on a 24/25 fps sequence - would this be through a nested sequence? When I drag a clip over it automatically creates a sequence at that frame rate, so how does it work if you want to complete/export your project at 24/25 fps? Also, when I modify a clip to 25 fps (UK based), add it to a 25 fps sequence and speed up the intro/outro, it looks jumpy/gross. Do I need to do change the time interpolation, or is this the wrong way to do things? No one seems to cover this in tutorials - or maybe I'm just overthinking it.

  • @shutterstocktutorials

    @shutterstocktutorials

    Thanks for the question, Ross! I've run into the same problems before. Set your sequence to 24 FPS (or 25 in your case) and then change the frame information of your clip like in the video above. Place it into the sequence, and it should work. Remember - this will only slow down your footage if it is recorded in 60fps or higher. It's basically stretching the 60 frames every second to fill 2.5 seconds of 24 fps, so you shouldn't have any loss of quality. When you change the frame information, you are basically taking it to it's slowest possible speed without making it skip. Let me know if that answers your question, hopefully I didn't misread you! -Robbie

    I've always shot at 60fps and just placed it into the main sequence that is 24fps then slow down as needed. I didn't understand why you would need to Interpret the footage. Do they look the same in the end?

    I unlinked audio, then cut audio at speed change points, then speed stretched (hit 'r' to pull up tool) the audio after video edits were made. It works, but clunky and slow.

    As long as the clip was rendered at a high enough frame rate (50, 60, 120, etc), the re-mapping would be the same. Little tip, if you ever use Blender for your 3D work, you can re-map in the program before you even render, by simply typing in the degree/percentage to which you want your animation re-mapped in the render settings, and that's it.

    Is there anyway that we can automatically set the clip with time remapping already on the frame?

  • @paultsworld

    @paultsworld

    4 жыл бұрын

    Ken Amores right click clip in project > modify > change fps to desired frame rate - then it will already assume the remapped frame rate when dragged into timeline, or dragged onto “new sequence” box. Select many frames to batch process this.
