⚡⚡⚡ 3-Prong Electrical Plug Replacement! (Male End)
Here's how to replace the male end of a 3-prong electrical connector. This works for appliances or extension cords. This example was a replacement for my old drill press and was pretty fun to make. Thanks for watching!

The only part I needed to see, you did off camera :(
You saved my treadmill that my dad gave me. He passed in 2010 so it’s extra special to me.. thank you!!!
Lets assume you bought the male end at Lowes and the screws are all silver, no brass. Answer that.
Only thing I'm left unsure about is how the wire should be placed or better yet, "crushed" in between the screw and the piece of metal? Am I to just stick it straight in and tighten? Or somehow or another manage to curl it around the srcew as you would with an outlet?
YOU COULD STILL USE THE MALE PLUG AS A TWO PRONG PLUG WITHOUT HAVING TO REPLACE IT.
Thank you for such an amazing video, you explain so mice and clear that anyone with 0 experience can easily learn because you are so good to explain, thank you so much
Lol, make sure to put the housing on the cord before wiring anything......I'm so dumb sometimes, 😕
I tried this with a single pole dimmer switch from Amazon. When I turn the dial to energize the wire it gets to a certain point and disintegrates the wire in as split second. Maybe I bought the wrong switch. Not sure why it doesn’t slowly ramp up the power.
Thank you! Fixing this on my treadmill was my first home repair and I'm thrilled I didn't electrocute myself (or pay someone else to fix it) thanks to this video!! 💪
Thank you so much for this video, I am not electrical savvy. My wife pulled the plug out of the outlet for the washing machine and wah-lah a prone didn't want to come out with it. She just says "oops", I say "oh great". But thanks to you it's all fixed and good now..☺️
Thank you for being patient while showing how to make the repair.
Thank you ever so much. Couldn't remember which was the ground.
You’re a good instructor. Thanks. Now my drop freezer won’t be a mess tomorrow.
After watching this very nice, clearly explained video, I don't need to watch anything else to repair an extension cord. Thank you!
I just want to say that you're doing a good job with explaining it's very simple and clear and straight to the point thank you
Thank you for sharing this, I was having a problem with a used extension cord I had bought, anyway, the guy had reversed the polarity on the female end.
Very Very helpful. What started out as frustration, then anger, turned to calm and relief thanks to you.
thanks guy-just replaced my block heater cord end-snapped off at -45C yesterday-just wanted to make sure i was doing it right today-thanks again!😉
I've put new ends on cords before but black & green were always marked. This end had green, gold & silver.
Thanks a bunch that was very helpful. I didn’t know anything about the different colored screws. I came on to see which wire went. Where are you? Answered my question. Thank you so much for your help. Good video.
