    Try this in the morning. As soon as you wake up, give yourself one positive thought like "I will dominate my day today" then only message your lover or if you dont. Then don't go on social media for at least an hour or two first thing, and focus on what to do for your day. Looking at your phone and scrolling through social media releases endorphins because all of this info is instant access and happiness. Try not going on your phone first thing in the morning you will find it different. 80% effective planning, 20% to do the rest of whatever you want with it.

    I use your idea here in studying my Bible or information that is Biblical and to pray. Daily, I personally see that my relationship with my Heavenly Father strengthens because of this small commitment of time to meet with Him in the morning……producing more self awareness, compassion, wisdom, love, patience ect.

    This reminds me of one of the celebrities who did a stint on the Food Network. She said that when you are watching your weight, but still want to enjoy some special food that is more caloric, there is a trick to enjoy it without over-indulging. She said that you really only enjoy the first 20 percent of the bites of food, but our tendency is to eat the whole amount on the plate anyway. So applying the 80-20 rule, you can enjoy the taste of the more caloric food, just eat 20 percent, and save the rest if the leftovers to enjoy again.

    +TheAgentAssassin Right. Most of the time that works really well. But sometimes you have a craving for a certain food. If you eat a small amount of it, twenty percent of what you might normally eat, you are satisfied. If you feel guilty for craving it, you may eat all other kinds of food to avoid the craving, and eat far more than if you had just eaten a tiny amount of the craved food. I did find it it interesting that one can be easily satisfied with a tiny portion of a craved "naughty food", based on the 80-20 rule.

    @The Intelligent Investor It is just as it sounds. Write down the factors or obstacles that kept you from reaching your goal(s). You can identify these obstacles through journalling your activites that you did on that day. Identify which activity (i.e. media social) that kept you from reaching your goal, and try to find ways to overcome it. Hope this helps.

    I would start with "Where do I spent most of my time right now?" and go from there. Once you know, you can analyze if you spend it on productive or unproductive tasks. After that go with the question "Which part of that activity I can remove or change in order to be more productive?" this will keep you focused on what's important and reach the 80/20 goal. Hope that helps :)

  • @jacobnewell4633
    @jacobnewell46335 жыл бұрын

    I understand the method but my question is how can you tell what in life is actually an 80/20 statistic and what is not. How does the student know that the 20% of the class work will for sure be 80% of the test (or whatever the math was)? Because if you are wrong then you just screwed yourself and flunked the Final Exam. Until you can verify that the 80/20 rule can be applied the method is not only ineffective but it can result in you completely failing the task you set out to do. A few well placed screw-ups like that and you could lose your job or get kicked out of college. So maybe do a video about how to verify the 80/20 rule.

    Allright lets go: What kind of example is it to say "80/20 applies because you have 5 pairs of shoes and only can wear one? Hwat kind of person has 5 pair of shoes? It must be a female or someone married to a female that is pussywhiped. And then even still, you might have more then 5 pair. WTF is this shoe thing going to bring? "yeah there is this 5% 95% rule,, like if you have 20 pair of shoes..." Come on seriously? spending 2-3 hours a day in the gym doesnt keep you fit for 3 reasons: if you go there and do nothing, you are just there 2-3 hours a day doing nothing. If you smoke and simply do everything in the worst kind of way possible for health but go to the gym to actually excersize, you are as healthy as someone saving that gym-money to buy healthy food. also, a work-day is 8 hours, 8 hours sleep, 30 min waking and showering etc, 30 min breakfast, 30 min lunch, 30 min shop food, 60 min cooking your food, 60 min travel time from and to work leaves you with 4 hours a day for yourself, so 2-3 hours at a gym is 50-75% (not including going to the gym and back and taking a shower afterwards). so where's the 20% in that? 20% of the people do not control 80% of the money. Control of the money is in the hands of 6 federal reserves each of them has a few Ceo and subordinates. 20% of the people have a bankaccount that says they have 80% of a fictitious coin, but they do not control it. Also this coin has no value in an actual economy. the fictitious economy running today is a pyramid scheme. "the principal that 20% of something is 80% of something else, pops up all over the place". ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS? Holy shit so what you are saying is that 100% is everything and 100 -x is less then 100, in fact, its the EXACT NUMBER THAT YOU HAVE LEFT AFTER TAKING SOMETHING FROM 100? Woow, mind blown. "numbers arent always exact" yes they are, just people are stupid. In fact, the use and function of numbers, is the fact that they are exact...Compared to the alternative: words. "imagine you have a daily to do list with 10 items" then you are pussy-whipped. Woman cant be changed, they want to do things all of the time and when they have nothing to do they think of something that is suddenly really important to them so that they have something to do. Nobody has 10 things to do daily unless they like to split up tasks: "I have to wake up, yawn, roll over,open the laptop, turn on the laptop, seriously I have 5 things to do in the first minute of waking up". Yeah that way everyone is busy, tell it to your instagram. If you have more then 3 tasks (work, cook/eat, family) then you and only you are to blame for being busy. "By identifying and prioritising the different tasks that need to be completed first" you will become a robot. seriously nobody noticed this sci-fi reference? I have to admit only at this point I started realizing he wasnt serious, he was trolling. So thats where I stopped (edit: somehow this said started) to watch the rest of the video. It must be clear to anyone that this 80/20 rule is ridiculous and if not then you probably die because you put your dog up your ass, since there was no label on the dog that said this might kill you.
