"And of course a wee cup of tea. Because, a cup of tea." Excellent.
Today June 24 is the date of the year in 1314 AD when the Scots triumphed at the Battle of Bannockburn.🏴They were led to victory over the English by King Robert the Bruce.🏴
Thanks again for another great video. I love me a good Scottish fry up. I also wanted to say that the hostel next to the Southern Cross Cafe, the Edinburgh Backpackers Hostel, is the very first place I stayed in Scotland way back in 1996. Yes I’m totally old alrigh! One of the best times of my life and that is a really great and beautiful Hotel. Thanks Tony and congratulations to you and Kirsten once again!
Congratulations and welcome Marty, glad that he and Cristen are doing well. I'm sure your daughter will be a great big sister.
congratulations on the birth of your little miracle Marty.
Oh I didn’t hear the good news. That’s wonderful! Welcome to the world Marty!
I have eaten at all 3 of the restaurants you suggested (not always a fry-up) and each is good in its own fashion. Can't say I agree with you about the square sausage but I think a full Scottish needs a tattie scone to be authentic and I'll agree with Russell that the Scottish Cafe has an excellent full Scottish breakfast. Better still, in my opinion, is Cafe Renroc on Montgomery St. in the New Town. It a nice neighborhood spot with excellent food and lovely outdoor seating for great meal on a sunny morning in Edinburgh. They have such fresh food and hearty portions that you'll leave feeling like a stuffed goose! A fry-up and cold pint will have you set for a day of sightseeing/exploring your marvelous city. Cheers to you and yours on the addition and expansion of the Clan - I'm looking forward to your ongoing reports of how the wee chappie continues to brighten your lives!

Tony, can you tell us more about your experience as a father (and Kirstens as a mother) for the second time. I think you've matured in experience and expectations...I wonder if you feel a difference and can tell us about it. Your fans are living a vicarious life so maybe humour us.
Congratulations on the birth of your son. Thanks for another great video.
That was a cracking video Tony. Edinburgh Larder is one of our go to places for breakfast when we stay in the city centre as their vegan breakfasts are phenomenal 👍
Congrats to the family and welcome to the world mini Broonford.
Congratulations yet again tony . Hope your channel and others channels you have grow you deserve it your the best thanks again
Congratulations on the addition of Marty to your family. Best wishes to all ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Great video will be trying those places when I visit with my family.
My mouth was watering with every bite you took Tony 😅
How wonderful to hear of the arrival of your sweet baby boy. I know you are having such a lovely time adjusting to two " wee ones" instead of one. Boys are great fun, if it has wheels, makes noises or can be stacked up and knocked down, he will love it.
Thank u so much for these vids! We'll be visiting Edinburgh for the 1st time later this year and these are so helpful. Congratulations on your precious new little Marty!!! 💖👶❤
Best traditional Scottish breakfast for me: Ayrshire bacon, Lorne sausage, Stornaway black pudding, fried local free range egg, homemade tattie scones, fried mushrooms, fried tomato, toast with homemade bramble jeely, coffee. Definitely no beans in a Scottish breakfast as that’s an English breakfast item.
Congratulations on healthy baby boy!!!🎉
Congratulations you 3 on the new arrival 🎉 and yes I hope you took a few treats home after the big feed 🍳!
On our trip to Edinburgh, we walked down the opening streets you did. We were told a story of murder withal twist on one of those free walking tours. Nice to see it again!
Congratulations to you and your family Tory. I see why you need a full Scottish Breakfast. Got to keep your strength up.
Your videos are the reason why I feel I was in Edinburgh yesterday even though I haven’t been since 2016! Thank you! I’m planning a visit next spring and I’ll make sure to say hello if we cross paths! Big congratulations for the wonderful addition to your family!
Looks amazing, I will be sure to visit some of these next year when I go to Edinburgh to get married
Once again congrats to the latest addition to the family! Hopefully he'll make a cameo sometime soon in one of your video (together with the Broonford girls!). Watching your new video while saving all the recommendations on Google maps. Just 31 days to go (surving 20 days at work is probably the better countdown). ✌️
Edinburgh larder is the best breakfast in town! We try and make at least 2 breakfasts everytime we visit. I miss my favourite city so much
Nothing wrong with a good record shop😊
Congrats from Albany, New York - Edinburgh is our favorite place to visit
I have been to y9 our beautiful Scotland twice and have enjoyed the Scottish breakfast. I hope I can go again next year and try some of the things you have recommended.
Stayed in High Street Hostel back in 2011, great memories!
Top 3 things I hope to do in Edinburgh in a week 3. Visit Holyroodhouse Palace 2. Tour Edinburgh Castle 1. Run into Tony Broonford on the street so I can wish him well with the new addition to the family. Well done.
Congratulations both all the very best
I agree, that breakfast needed decent Lorne sausage and beans. I like most haggis but McSweens is my go to. Nice to hear a decent piper in the background.
I'm moving to Edinburgh next month from America. your videos have been helpful.

Congratulations 🎉🍾❤️
Beautiful!
Congratulations to the you and the family
Congratulations on the birth of Marty a bit late i know as working through your fantastic videos.
I’m booked in for breakfast at the Larder ❤️❤️❤️
I kept pausing to take notes. I will be there next year and want the best experience for my boys. I had a full Scottish breakfast last year and want them to try it. I say Haggis and I get a collective "ugh...or yuck." I forgive them, as they have not had it yet 😅❤. Thank you for this video. Great as always.
Congratulations I am so happy for you and your family
Congratulations from Italy!
Congrats ma man 👍
Here I was trying to be healthy today and now I'm really hungry 😂
congratulations for little Marty
Thank you, great video. When I'm in my beautiful Edinburgh I stay at Code pod the court hostel on parliament sq, behind St Giles. It is THE best hostel ever. Look it up, would make a great video.
Best wishes to the increasing Clandom! Did a bit of research before hitting Edinburgh in January 2020, staying at the Haymarket Premier Inn Hub, for a good honest breakfast establishment. No pretentiousness, no overpriced "Artisan..." rubbish that abounds these days. Found CJ's Cafe in Dalry Road. Perfect. Breakfast like it used to be.

Yeah, sometimes you just want a good old fashioned fry up breakfast.
The thing you didn't mention is the most popular favorite , potato scones is a total must for any Scottish person !

Nae fruit puddin' either !!
Good to Good to see the Edinburgh Larder offering tattie scones as an option! :-)
Even being myself a great fan of Edinburgh and Scotland.. I need to say, I'm not very much into very heavy Breakfast.. But when I'm in Edinburg I normally have blood sausage with my Breakfast.. And they are delicious!!.
I’m also doing breakfast on Cockburn Street, so doing so at Southern Cross cafe is very appropriate for someone from Australia ❤
Congratulations from Germany on having the wee one! Visited the Southern Cross Cafe last year. Super nice staff but thoroughly dangerous for your waistline if you start to try out what the have on offer. You're already full from your Scottish breakfast and then see the sweet stuff they have and can't work up the discipline to say no.😉
I know it's a bit off the mile, but for the past three visits to Scotland I have planned my trip around Kilimanjaro Cafe on Nicholson St. Their scottish breakfast is amazing and easily feeds two. Coming back in November and already dreaming of that breakfast!
I’m totally going to try this place-great looking recommendation. And I don’t care if the sausages are square. 😂
Congratulations Kisten, Tony, and Marty! 🎉 Not only did this wonderful video make me hungry, I'd love to come back for another visit to the National Gallery!
Such happy news! I sent my congrats via Insta but congratulations again! We'll be back in Edinburgh in the fall and have made note of these spots. We do AirBNBs when we travel but it's still nice to go out for breakfast. A question. Do Scottish breakfasts usually include a potato scone (similar to potato farls in Northern Ireland)? We're having a little discussion on the differences between Scottish, English and Irish breakfasts in a food group I belong to. It's as contentious a subject as cream or jam first on scones. LOL. Have a great week, newly expanded Broonford family! -- Sandi & Greg H
I think there should be a pound or two included for that bagpiper🏴
I can recommend the Southern Cross on Cockburn. Always end up there for breakfast when in Edinburgh. How did you cue in the Piper for the proper effect? You are a rascal! 👀 Congratulations again on the birth of your son!

Wow two of my favourite places can highly recommend both the Southern Cross and Edin Larder....Will have to try the Scottish cafe on our next visit...Congrats on the new family number 😀
Every time I go to Edinburgh I have one at City Cafe just of the Mile - but DON'T order the large, however hungry you are!
Och Tony this is grand stuff!but for those of us on a wee budget cause the three suggestions with tip will likely cost a £20 note i go tae Greggs for a wee coffee pastry and hot steak bake be about £5.🏴
I vouche for high street hostel :D. stayed there about a decade ago. can't wait to go back during the summer once my first year of college is complete!
I am really enjoying your videos. Do you have a top five places for dinner?
a little bit to late (sorry about that) , welcome marty and greatings from Berlin ....Karsten and Family
Quinns cafe is the best
Congratulations
We like Scott's Kitchen for breakfast on Victoria Terrace.
congrats
I see the art gallery does the Stornoway black pudding I must be the only one that doesn't like it mind you when I first tasted it it was in Wetherspoons in the airport so that's probably got something to do with it lol PS I don't think it needs the square sausage you very rarely get it in a Scottish breakfast
Had a look at the Southern Cross website. I saw smashed avo on the menu. You should have mention they were Aussies.👍
was up end of may for me mates 50th in jackson bar for dale harveys 50th..see some pals ive not seen for a good few years..dont know if you know gibbo ian gibbson..went to BYRONS on the mile with my girlfreind..great burgers in there..would deffo go again......wheres the best place to have a sunday roast dinner ?..lost my way around edinburgh as not really been for the past 20ish years..lived in uphall for a bit in the past..been in london for at least 37 years...love the videos mate
What a shame we seem to have !ost The Baked Potato Shop at the top of Cockburn Street.... now yet another gift shop.
Was there no Lorne sausage with those breakies? Is square not one of the main cornerstones of a good Scottish breakfast? (The breakfasts all looked tasty though)
Snax Cafe. West Register Street 😊😊😊
You should try a kebab shop review tony
Och Tony are these three places all day breakfasts?🏴
I'm hungry now
Congratulations 🎉 on the birth of baby Marty. The breakfasts look delicious. Have you ever worked on radio? Your voice sounds like a radio dj.

They are doing really well.
Does the quoted price of these breakfasts include taxes Tony?🏴
@ClanBroonford
Жыл бұрын
Yes it does. All prices you see on everything in the uk already have the tax included. So when you go to the till that's what you pay.
tattie scone!
Fried bread got to be tattie scone and fruit puddin
OK, OK, OK I LOVE me some Scotland, and you know I love Clan Broonford, but yeah, not paying $19.65 (equiv = 15#) for breakfast anywhere at any time. Just nope. I understand tourists will, and yes, it's a thing, but nope. Here, in my fair city, an American full breakfast, the Big Breakfast at Denny's or iHop will run you about $9.50, the STEAK and Eggs will run you $15. I know, I'm cheap,. which is ironic, considering I won't buy a big Scottish breakfast. (LOVE YOU!!! Kiss the kids for me)
Does the misses broonford no feed u Tony anymore?????
@ClanBroonford

I'm just greedy.
Needs to have fried bread or tatie scone. No hash browns or beans
