Awe Kristin, I'm so sad to hear of ur troubles & will definitely be praying that ur doctors find a way to arrest & stop ur cancer! One thing that might be helpful & won't interfere with any treatment is to drink Traders Joe's Cranberry Juice everyday (recipe is 12-16oz Water + 1-2Tbsp CJ + some honey, sugar or Stevia to sweeten) its 100% juice and "slap u across ur face tart" so it should only be consumed in water & with sweetener. Cranberries are powerful anti-inflammatory fruit, so when I drink this everyday I don't need as much Tylenol or Advil. Ur kidneys love it too. I love these crockpot recipes! I am home all day on most days, but I’m unable to stand a long time to cook, so the crockpot helps me a lot. I love your channel. You show us so many crockpot meals! Thank you! I can’t wait to try the chicken recipes and the ranch dressing made with cottage cheese! I have 3 containers in my fridge right now! 😃 I really need them more protein, so it will help me a lot. Makes me wonder what other recipes I can use cottage cheese in!

Mel, this episode made me laugh so many times - 1st time "do we ever measure garlic?" And the second can't remember, I guess I'll have to watch it again. I just smile & chuckle at the darling way u say things, u are just as sweet as a fully ripened peach to my soul! I have to mention too, I love ur natural makeup - can u tell me the name? I think our skin tones might be identical - I favor rosey undertones but in my older age, I want to look pleasant & natural. Thank u for lifting us up. I had that same thing while doing dinners for years (look in my cabinet & pantry just stumped), it can get so wearisome at times. My sweet Mom one time asked me "write down all the ingredients u have in ur pantry & kitchen honey & I'll give u a list of recipes u can make." She gave me a list a full lined notebook paper long, double columns + my dear Mom was a master of using things up. I would love it if u put ur pantry on a list sometime on ur website then give numbers to ur recipes & so we can see at a glance how to copy ur expert pantry/recipe management. Oh Sandy you always know how to make me feel so loved and special, thank YOU! And I feel the same way about makeup, I've always loved it but as I've gotten older I feel like less looks alot better on me, too. I use It Cosmetics Celebration Foundation in Medium - it's in a compact and it's a powder foundation that has buildable coverage. And my ride or die blush is an old cheap one from Cover Girl. Most of my makeup is drug store with the exception of the foundation - and I catch it when QVC is doing promos where I get 2 compacts auto shipped every 3 months I think at a really good price (even got the nice brush with the first shipment) And my daughter wears it, too so it's been nice getting it that way. I remember you saying in your video that you prefer the French's Chili-O seasoning, but it's sometimes hard to find. Other than the outrageous humidity, we love Texas. What part of Tennessee do you live in? My sister lived in Maryville, Tennessee in 2017. I visited her there. It is beautiful.

I think there are other parts of TN I'd rather live, but I'm not moving again unless I win the lottery! Too much stress! Lol

Try using nonfat plain Greek yogurt instead of cottage cheese, it makes a wonderful substitute and tastes really good. I also make a fettuccine Alfredo sauce with it and you can’t tell the difference.

Yummy! So many great ideas! I LOVE watching your videos and I print the majority of your recipes. My daughter makes the “cottage cheese ranch”. Could the first recipe be portioned and frozen?

On the Salisbury Steak...I have a slow cooker than I can sauté in the cooker. I usually try to do my browning in that. Would you suggest browning the onions too or would it be better to brown the patties then put everything else in and turn it to slow cook? Love your recipes!!!

I just got me a crockpot that I can brown in, too! I can't wait to start using it! And I would say you could do it either way, they soften as their cooking in the crockpot but I think browning them would add another great layer of flavor. Oh I was showing how much water the salad spinner removes from the lettuce, LOL It really helps keep it fresher- longer. And I purchase the envelopes of ranch mix at any grocery store. Hope you enjoy making it, too and thanks for watching

@InTheKitchenWithMommaMel thanks 😊! My son and his girlfriend got an instant pot/air fryer combo from me when they moved into their first apartment. One day I heard my son say when she cooks from the crockpot ,it always come out dry! I'm thinking did you not use the IP correctly? Because, when I helped get them unpacked they didn't have a crockpot. Lol!! As for my daughter ❤️, I see her and her boyfriend eating out a lot!! But one day, you are right she will have to learn to cook. I ask her if she wants to help me but it is always, "No". Oh, well.

@InTheKitchenWithMommaMel yeah me too 😂. Baking I did a lot for hubby and I and everyone else during the holidays until kids came along. I did play around with meals while being a Pampered Chef consultant for husband and I prior to kids but I was always working and doing shows on my free time. Now,I enjoy cooking and trying new things but everyone else is stuck on the same old same old stuff.

My hubby says gravy is his favorite beverage 😂

Probably sunflower seeds, or maybe seafood seasoning. I sprinkle all kinds of goodies on my salad!

Help Mel and friends, I super love alfredo sauce...but I've never found a jarred sauce that doesn't taste like glue and chemicals! I use jarred pasta sauce without issue- but jarred alfredo sauce has just been gross. I've tried it maybe 3 times over many years. I'll admit I've not tried again in the last 5 years. Y'all got a good one to recommend?
