I love these combo tutorials, but I wish they would go a bit more into detail of what to do when your combo gets interrupted. The Resonators are super big Ash/Imperm/Veiler targets. Crimson especially. I had my Soul Resonator Ashed yesterday and thankfully had Bone in hand anyway so I still had full combo. But had they Ashed Crimson I'd have been screwed.

Hey so I have a question with the trap card red zone. So I went to my local tournament on Sunday and it was the final round of the tournament. And I went to activate the second effect of red zone on my opponent turn but I was told that i was not able to activate it because of the way its worded and my target was red rising dragon in my banish zone, now from what I seen from many of the how to vids on the deck I have seen other players activate it during the opponents turn. Now is that how it works or do I only get the banish effect during my turn only

@@izaicgutierrez125 The summon from banish works during either player’s turn. The pop effeft works only with RDA on board or a Synchro that mentions it directly.

For the calamity lock if you don't want to banish your soul resonator to save your field from RDA you can instead do this: After you summon red rising to reborn crimson and summon 2 vision resonators, synchro into scarred with rising + a vision resonator, activate saronir to banish the vision resonator and special summon itself, then you can tribute saronir off lubellion, saronir dumps etude, lubellion sets beast, and then you synchro into dis pater using lubellion as the level 8. Now you reborn the vision resonator that you banished and your end board is dispater, scarred, 2 vision, etude, beast, and red zone. So now you don't blow up your field which means you don't have to banish soul resonator to save it, and when you summon king calamity you get to activate scarred's effect on your opponents turn to get RDA you now get to keep your red zone pop in addition to the calamity lock because you control a red dragon archfiend.

Very cool and fun deck. Cards from the structure deck really helped making it even better and giving it bigger potentional. Red Nova Dragon is also one of my favorite monsters.

@10:50 this is wrong. Etude is the card that needs to be Chain Link 1 and not Calamity itself. This is because "when" checks if the synchro summon was the last thing to happen. Also if you chained anything after Calamity, a single Droplet or Mourner could then respond and negate your Calamity since your opponent wouldn't respond to his effect, but the resonator effect instead. TLDR; Etude MUST be the FIRST Chain Link, Calamity should be the LAST Chain Link

He meant that the effect that summons Calamity can't be chain link two or higher because if Calamity is summoned like that, it's trigger will miss timing and the effect that locks your opponent out of their turn doesn't go off.

I'm gonna buy this deck next! thank you for making this :)

Red Zone’s pop effect only works when you control RDA (Scarlight and Scarred also works) or a monster that mentions RDA… Red Nova Dragon and Majestic Red Dragon are the only ones that mention RDA… so it won’t work when you have Abyss, Bane, or Calamity on board.

Abyss has Rda in its own Name. And as it mentions it's own name in the cardeffect: You can use red zone with him or am I wrong? 😅

@@ynnek2081 This is gonna hard to explain… This is similar to Dark Magical Circle. It searches for Dark Magician or cards that mention that name specifically. Eye of Timaeus can’t be searched by Circle because it mentions Dark Magician MONSTER. If a card has “(insert name here) MONSTER” and not “(insert name here) or a card that mentions it”, it can’t work with cards like Red Zone. RDA, Scarlight RDA, and Scarred DA works because Scarlight and Scarred have effects that treat their card names as RDA on the field or GY. Red Nova Dragon and Majestic Red work as well because they specifically list RDA as material. The Hot RDA evolutions, and other cards that say “RDA **monster**” in their text can’t be searched by Crimson Gaia or Vision Resonator. I hope this explains it.

​@@ynnek2081you are wrong. Hot Red Dragon Archfiend Abyss is indeed *a "Red Dragon Archfiend" monster* , but not the OG "Red Dragon Archfiend". Neither of the mentioned cards have "Red Dragon Archfiend" written as the card itself, they just mention the archetype. This is the reason they don't work with Red Zone, it has to specifically list a monster NAME and not ARCHETYPE. The typical pattern for name is just "RDA" while for archetypes is "RDA" followed by "monster" or "card". The new Synchro specifically lists the OG RDA by changing its name, the same for Scarlight, while the old Red Nova Dragon etc have it as a material

​@@ynnek2081if you are familiar with Dark Magician, "Eye of Timaeus" is a very useful card that would turn Dark Magician into Dragoon for free. Despite the deck having cards that search anything mentioning "Dark Magician" (the monster), Timaeus says a "Dark Magician" monster, thus meaning the Archetype and not the monster itself, making it unsearchable. The same case applies here.

calamity doesnt actually misstimes if you activate vision/sinkron first. it only happens if you chain etitude with another card's activation, so you summon him and then the first chain will resolve, causing the misstime. Instead its mandatory that you use its effect at chain link 2, so your opponent cant use an impermanence/droplet at chain link 3

For the calamity lock you can end on scared and do bystial dis pater with lubellion. That way you don’t get the trigger of soul on the end phase and also on the next turn you get 3 chains with scarred, vision and calamity

Explain how you end with scarred did pater and lubellion to be able to go in too calamity on pop turn please

so what you can do at the end of the last combo is instead of targeting abyss you can target red rising and special summon vision of its own effect sychroing scarred dragon. then in draw phase you can target abyss with red zone leaving you with an active pop from red zone and abyss.

Yo this video is goated. Just need to buy those cards that weren't included in the structure deck. As well as find someone to practice with so I can memorize this by instinct.

For the Calamity combo, does Etude of the Branded activate before or after your opponent’s draw phase?

I would watch chaining anything to King Calamity. It can open him up to a response from your opponent

When you say at the beginning of the opponent's turn, do you mean in their Draw Phase?

What combo plays can you use to get around your opponent if they go first and manage to get out a board lock against you on their first turn?

On your king calamity play, how can red zone pop a card if rda or a synchro that mentions rda is not on the field? I thought that even though rda is in the name of king calamity it doesnt meet the condition of mentioning it, unless I'm wrong about that.

@1:40 imo it's better practice to reduce the resonator instead. Not only you have other lvl2/4 extenders, you also play around a random Ogre that way that would otherwise make Bone Archfiend not mill.

​@@mystery8820ash blossom always stops that play. But if Ogre is played more to counter Horus (hitting Sarcophagus) then it's nice to build your muscle memory playing around such an interaction

I think you used red rising dragon's effect wrong. It says other than the turn it was sent to the graveyard. It also says 2 level 1 resonators so if you only have one, you can't do it.

I usually go into Red Nova Dragon and Hot Red Dragon Archfiend Abyss because Red Nova Dragon actually makes Red Zone live. Red Supernova Dragon doesn’t, neither does Abyss.

Se puede activar, ya que es una trampa contínua, pero su efecto de destruir no se puede usar, el segundo efecto, de regresar un dragon banished sí es posible activarlo.

And what about the link zones, you are not suppose tu play from the extra deck in a zone that is not linked, or how does it work now?

That hasn't been a rule for a while now. You have to summon link monsters and Pendulum that come from the Extra Deck to extra monster zones or Link zones only now. Fusion, Synchro, and xyz don't care about link zones or Extra monster zones anymore.

Is there a reason I can't activate etude when my opponent draws? i play online and it never says i can activate elude for calamity lock.

Yes. If you're on EDO Pro, you need to click on the "Always Chain" button. This way, when an effect is available for you to trigger, you can activate it.

Is it possible to play this without the bystial engine. That lubellion price is steep after already having dis pater at 30$😂

i very much disagree with your choice of always lowering the bone archfiend because if ti gets lests say ghostoger, your stuck with a level 3 tuner you cant do anything with. If you drop the soul resonator to a 2 even if they remove the archfiend you still have your level 2 tuner to use with wildwind

Isn't Scarred pronounced Scar-Red? Red Nova Dragon's Ocg name is Scar Red Nova D.

@@breotix9481 Consider those are minimal card combos, you still have a searcher in a pot (if you're crazy enough to use one in this deck) and Resonator Call. In the case your Resonator gets ashed, you can still go wildwind, synchro into Kuibelt, ss synkron, summon Scarred, add red zone/gaia, ss vision, summon bane, summon RDA with Scarred, add vision to hand, tribute RDA, summon Scarred, and pray you can survive until next turn with a SRDA and a Bane, which still leaves you with a pop (if you went for Zone) or a followp (with Gaia). OR After Imperm, SS bone arch, and do the same combo, and if you get Ashed on BA, well, summon Kuibelt, and pray you have a searcher in hand to attempt to leave at least a negate with a vision or Synkron to leave an Abyss on field. Edit: Also, Bystials. Use those, they are good civilization.

I mean the deck seems good... but at what cost? I don't want to make my opponent sit through all that. I don't actually hate the person across the table from me (at least most of the time).
