This video is really good, the explanation on each pipe and weight savings is important. There's so much Aftermarket support for the FR-S, it's incredible. It's my next car.

1320 UEL, 1320 54mm overpipe, JDL dual resonated front pipe and Invidia N2. Sounds sooo good, not raspy, loud but not obnoxious

Definitely the most informative video on exhaust i've come across! Can't wait for the suspension video!

I had a 2013 frs with a drop in air filter from hks, borla v2 catless uel headers, and yes I saved about 11lbs from stock, stock overpipe, invidia n1 catless front pipe, finished off with an invidia n1 catback exhaust with titanium tips, car shot flames but got me too many tickets(I’m in California)

Will Pops and bangs be loud in a resonated Invidia front pipe ? Will the pops and bangs destroy the resaontor? Example , like pops and bangs destroys the cat on the stock .

i have a stock brz and i want a little more sound , is deleting the small second resonateur a good choice ? and what it will sound like ?

Uel catted headers everything els stock. Best sound and you retain the low end power while removing the torque dip.

What do you think about a double rectangle exhaust, I don’t really care about the sound or performance, I’m not a car guy or anything, I just think they lock nice. What do you think the best things to get for a an exhaust like that, what type of headers, what brand.

They dont look nice or sound good and i dont think anybody makes them but for sure you can just swap the exhaust tips

You said equal length headers twice when you were talking ab tomei headers @ 3:20. I think u meant unequal length.

How much does the jdl uel weigh? i can't find the specs.

How do you think you would rate no name UEL headers, paired with the catless Berk front pipe, and the Invidia R400 catback? Currently looking into getting the front pipe for my BRZ.

Lots of noise and rasp. You'd be better off with a decent quality header and stock front pipe for gains.

What taillights are in the thumbnail?

To be noticeable under normal daily driving conditions, should you pick Invidia Q300 or Perrin 2.5 exhaust? What catted equal length header best matches a smoother, least noisy ride and quiet sound for BRZ? Ideally, to be louder than the stock exhaust but not too overbearing as a daily driver.

Perrin 2.5" is now discontinued unfortunately. Q300 is decent but packing inside the muffler heat cycles away and gets tiny and louder. Catless EL header and MXP CSG touring is subtle and not much louder than stock. I have that setup with a Catted and resonated front pipe and volume is perfect for daily. Edit also most importantly zero drone.

How should I make my magnaflow catback louder? Will a cat less front pipe do the trick?

I've had it as a daily for 5 months now. I'd say little higher then the Corsa on the scale used in the video. That being said: it has a LOT of drone! 😱 I'm looking to go for a Q300 now due to the drone as I'm daily driving. 😅

Watch my videos, that's what's on mine, perhaps a bit louder because of e85. It drones a lot and it's medium to high loudness. I like it. But it can get annoying if you stay on the rpm range where it drones. I did a uel catless header upgrade the drone is 90% gone and sounds awesome! I'll have some videos of it by the weekend with the new sounds.

Does the FA24 need UEL headers? The torque dip is gone.

I see people putting uel headers for the sound but the rumble is not as noticeable as the fa20

Going to be difficult on my decisions. Virginia exhaust laws suck. I want an exhaust system that increases power, but gives off that deep rumble sound. Without being over 95 decibels, and doesn't crack and pop.

Catless header and tune and keep catback stock. MXP CSG touring will be touch louder than stock and no drone. Fujistubo axleback or DC sport axleback add some volume too but still very tame.

Are any of these headers CA legal? Thinking of getting the JDL UEL catted headers

The Borla header is the only 50 state legal header! Very popular for that exact reason.

Max MAX horsepower? LS swap :-) If you want to make MAX horsepower on the FA20 then you’ll need full internals and balancing. A fully built motor. And THEN forced induction, tune, fueling, etc. But if you want max horsepower from the stock engine without breaking it, go straight to the supercharger. 280-300hp is about all she’ll handle before falling apart.

@@abd5414 catless exhaust system from the equal length header to the exhaust tips, after market intake, & a solid tune. That'll probably be the bulk of what you can do for ba on this platform.

I would definitely take a look at the Magnaflow and Corsa exhausts. We created the chart to help visualize the differences between some of the exhaust sounds, but it is still subjective. I would recommend checking out some sound clips on KZread of the Magnaflow, Borla S-Type, and Corsa exhaust. From what it sounds like you're looking for, these would be the best places to look! Let us know if there is anything we can do to help you get hooked up with any of these!
