If the library doesn't carry over to the next system I know a good amount of people gonna be upset

​@@edgar8316 what do you mean by visual upgrade? If you're thinking of a graphics upgrade, then no not at all, why would they? Performance would be better for all, but for a game to visually look any different would require the devs of said game, not nintendo. Also people are saying this is the last switch direct cause it gets clicks I guess and news for the next console feels close.

Backwards Compatibility is a must for both Physical and Digital games 1st to 3rd.

God I pray the library carries over. Would be so dumb if not

Backwards compatibility is almost a sure thing. Nintendo has had console backwards compatibility from the Wii onward. All handhelds had it in one form or another, except the DSi specifically.

From wii u to switch there were a lot of hd remakes that got remade toward the end of its life cycle then remade again for switch at full price and it's still happening. Meaning if they aren't compatible all of the recent announcements are likely going to conflict with the reception of the new console

I hope games will be compatible both ways, switch games playable on switch 2, and switch 2 games playable on switch. That would make a lot of people happy

Nintendo, just give us a more powerful Switch with backwards compatibility. That's literally it, 100+ million units sold once again, easily.

Just let me have a backwards compatibility and I’ll be happy 😂 I mostly deal on soft copies as it’s more convenient, so having them available once more would be the right choice imo.

So at the start of switch 2 they will make physical copies of new games that aren’t switch 2 exclusive for both versions? Or games like that will only be sold with switch 1 cartridge but ppl with switch 2 can play it on there?

I thought about getting my first switch soon but now I think I'll keep saving up for the switch 2

I highly doubt you'll be able to just swap SD cards, since thew Switch 2 will most likely have a new filetype system. Perhaps tho it would need your account to transfer stuff for piracy protections.

Yeah I meant more for transfer purposes but yeah it'll most likely use a new file for Switch 2 SD cards

They have atleast 5 years and at most 7,screw this up is gay

There’s no way they can go with a cartridge… yet again, and improve the graphics enough to warrant a Switch 2.

@@ActualAero True but you discussed switch 2 a lot. In fact, a ton of youtubers are saying the same things about switch 2. However, I did like how you mentioned the things they needed to do in order to make it a successful launch.

backward will actually be bad for the new console. buy it when you want to move on. PS4 never had backwards but now its like a rival of ps5

That’s cause the PS5 has very few exclusives to make people actually want to buy it. As soon as the Switch 2 gets the next Mario Kart & Smash Bros. It won’t be the case for it lol

@@ActualAero the reason why PS5 have very few exclusives is the cause of PS4 in the first place. 50% ps4 owners haven't got PS5 yet. devs have no reason to make it exclusive.
