3.LYKKE Driftwood 13cm (5") Interchangeable Needle Set Order | Unboxing | First Impressions

This video was filmed on the 30th November 2020 (for context) and just shows the unpacking of my purchase of the LYKKE Driftwood 13cm (5") Interchangeable Needle Set (£107.99 at time of purchase during Black Friday Weekend) from The Needle Store:
www.theneedlestore.com/collec...
Apologies for keeping on referring to these as '3.5inch' set - I really don't know what I'm talking about yet when it comes to knitting jargon and this is my first ever time purchasing any needle set. I was super impressed by them initially, especially the aesthetics, but will update over time and subsequent videos on how I am getting on with them.
This was also my first time ordering from The Needle Store and their service and website is great and highly recommended.
I am not sponsored by any company or person and all my opinions are my own.

I have chiaoGoo, Lykke, Karbonz, Cubics , Addi, Takumi, knitters pride rose wood. Good thing I don’t like to knit lol. My all time favorite are the chiaoGoo wooden needles. I don’t like to knit fast I enjoy the process. If I’m trying to hurry then my fun becomes stress and it’s no fun. I hope you enjoy your new needles they are nice.

As you can tell, I'm binge-watching your videos. I ordered my Lykke set from Amazon, but I just love how yours was packaged.I would buy more from that shop just for that reason. Hope you enjoy your needles.

That's great! I'm seriously thinking of investing in the Shorts set too. Especially since I see myself knitting a lot of beanies. The feel of these needles just surpasses every other needles I've tried basically. And yes The Needle Store had amazing service and actually the least expensively priced set at the time (which was in stock).

@@CedarTreesBumblebees For sure, it would come in so handy. That's what I did as well. Their short circulars are not only great for hats, but can also be used when knitting sleeves. I'm not very comfortable with magic loop and decided that I did not want to fight with my tools when knitting... I wanted the experience to be fun and stress-free which is why I got my chiaogoo 16" set. I also have the shorties which I use for cuffs and socks... they are all interchangeable within the brand. Since you use Lykke, the 3.5" enables you to go down to maybe 14-16" circular. If you want something even smaller that can be used to knit smaller sleeves or cuffs, knit pro has a like called Ultra Shorts that will go all the way down to a 9" circular. Knit pro and lykke needles are interchangeable and this will come in handy as you knit the smaller circumference of a sleeve or hat. Essentially, as your work gets smaller in circumference, just swap out the needle or cable and you're good to go. Product name is knit pro denim (indigo) ultra short Not sure if the link will work... needles-and-wool dot com / products / knit-pro-denim-short
