For me, I don’t like the “nerd” costume because it kinda says girls/boys who dress like that are nerds, and I’m one of those girls so it’s kinda hurtful to be called a nerd just because of the way I dress and because I wear glasses. This comes from experience with bullying and people teasing me about my looks or how I act so there definitely are reasons behind it.
