3-Ingredient Cereal Bars : Season 5, Ep. 13 - Chef Julie Yoon

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Can you believe these easy no-bake cereal bars are made with just 3 ingredients? It doesn’t get better than that! I had way too many plain Cheerios lying around after my two-year old outgrew them, and I had to find a way to repurpose them. These sweet and crispy bars are the perfect solution and they’re a snack the whole family can enjoy! This is EPISODE 13 of Bits + Pieces SEASON 5, and for this season, we’re focusing on scrumptious snacks! Thanks for watching, and stop by our blog to find the written recipe here: chefjulieyoon.com/2019/05/3-i...

I'm always late at taking my daughter to school so she eats in transit, usually buy organic pre-made bars but I'm going to try these out. These home-made ones are like little hugs....

Aw I love that you called it little hugs. One tip is that if you want them to hold together a little better, add more honey than my recipe called for...it will be sweeter, but it will hold together better as a bar you can take with you on transit.

Nice...but keep in mind that you might have to increase the amt of honey and press down hard in the pan if you really want them to stick together. Otherwise they might crumble apart after cutting them.

I just tried this with Rice Krispies instead of Cheerios and crunchy peanut butter (it was all I had on hand, but let's pretend I wanted more texture in there) and they are delicious! Definitely a little crumbly, so I may have to tweak the measurements, or just use creamy peanut butter, but the taste was phenomenal!

Honestly, I have no clue, but my fear is that the overall end result might be too sweet, as Nutella has a ton of sweetness to it already. However, I could see that it could possibly bind the cereal together since the consistency is similar to nut butters.

Sorry but I don't know the nutrition facts. You could probably estimate by knowing the nutrition facts of the 3 individual ingredients and how much of each you're using of each.

I'm not sure it will stick together without the honey. I would definitely only try this with unsweetened Cheerios

Hi, I don't think normal butter will bind the cereal together. Anyone out there in the Yoon-iverse know if there's any other nut butter alternative that's kind of creamy and thick like peanut butter is?

You could probably try maple syrup, corn syrup, or agave, but I can't vouch for the flavor,m level of sweetness, and how well it will hold together. You basically need something sticky and sweet!
